This should not even be an issue. If your religion says that being gay is bad, then fine, you can believe that if you wish. You have no right to try making a gay couple to live by the standards of your religion.

I agree with the premise of same sex marriage being lawful but must Clint be so crude?
My previous respect for him has vanished.

I also agree with him that if someone, (Obama), isn't getting it done, it's time to let them go.

I do not care who wants to enter into a civil contract, I do care who wants to have a "marriage" - that is a different thing.

Well, those of us who consider the very word marriage to carry a religious connotation based upon Judeo/Christian heritages. My dear departed grandmother had a saying she liked to use to be sure we understood that words have meaning, "just because the cat has kittens in the oven doesn't make them biscuits".

Marriage, for the entire history of this nation, with the brief exception of Mormons and a few other groups’ brief forays into polygamy, has always been accepted as between a man and a woman. I and many, many like me do not want that definition changed. You may have whatever sectarian contract, ceremonies and other “binding” documents you like – the kitten it is not a biscuit, nor is this homosexual relationship a marriage.

I do not think homosexuality is a basis for successfully raising children or calling the paired persons a “family” makes it so. I do not think children being born without the support of a loving father and mother present is a good thing, nor should the occurrence be celebrated as a choice, but rather the single parent recognized as doing a hero’s work in the absence of a more ideal situation.

What is being hurt. No one individual, but the society as a whole loses a defined entity to look to for success in most people’s lives, that of a mother and f...

What is being hurt. No one individual, but the society as a whole loses a defined entity to look to for success in most people’s lives, that of a mother and father. This should not be one of those, “oh but look at the number of people who come from such backgrounds and they did well”, this leads to calling the exception the rule and the rule the exception. Yes, there are people who are born to crack addicted mothers and somehow manage to become contributing citizens, that logic does not however, lead to believe that we should subject more children to that environment.

I really could care less if you or anyone else wants to have intercourse with thier cat, but that is not a marriage either....it's real yucky, but not marriage and should not be called one.

You must not forget the famously polygamy-practicing Arizona City. That Mormon
practice still lives on today and is why Jeffs is in jail. And that, Mr Tombstone, is
happening in your own State right now!

oh no, say it isn't so.....yeah, I know - and people are robbing a store in your state right now, and someone is breaking and entering....and the list of laws being broken is never ending - and it doesn't justify or rationalize society making the activity legal. By, the by those folks are NOT part of the LDS community lead by Prisdent Monson, but a group associating themselves with the name.

Never saw the reaction to gay marriage. Just so stupid. People should be concerned about their own lives and not of their neighbor.

It doesn't change anything in my life if two people of the same gender choose to get married.

Life, liberty, and *the pursuit of happiness*. I could care less who loves who. It doesn't involve me, it's not negatively affecting anyone else. This is something that shouldn't even be a federal issue. If anything it should be made a state issue and people should vote on whether or not their individual state would allow it or not. A great compromise between the two groups, as you will have a number of states pro-gay/poly and others against. You'll see people to who it is a concern of migrate to a state that accepts their view point. Doing that will relieve the violent tension between the two groups, and people will have to put their vote where their beliefs are.

Assuming he doesn't mean "I don't give a F**** and therefore I'm not going to support change ha ha ha" After all, he seems to have said he doesn't care what other people want and the typical interpretation of that isn't positive.
