If he had applied this device last year when the subpoena was issued for the documents then maybe obama might have a little more credibility. But to issue it 10 minutes before a sit-down where Holder promised to deliver the docs? I don't think so...

And you don't have to remind us of how untransparent obama is, he's proven that every day since he took the oath of office.

GWB invoked executive privilege six times, including a notable case in which Bush tried to block a General Accounting Office investigation into Dick Cheney's numerous meetings with energy executives. Bush also claimed executive privilege in 2007 to block a congressional subpoena of Karl Rove, who was called to testify in a case in which several federal prosecutors were fired. Of course now Rove is crowing loudly about Obama's use of EP. Freaking hypocrit has a short memory. The Republicans need less theatrical indignation and more attention to the transportation bill and the student loan brouaha.

The president has two centuries of precedent to rely upon in re executive privilege.

    wonderful options,... Not.

Obama claiming "executive privilege" because he is caught in more illegal doings is right up there with SH blocking, or perhaps loading a poll with only biased options.
