Most Christians dont have a clue that many of their religious practices were derived from Paganism

Being a pagan I can tell you that Yule is not about shopping and eating. More about family and friends. Pagan are more spiritual than most people want to believe. Not religious but spiritual.

Some truth to that. The tradition of Christmas trees was started by the Celts.

All the fun aspects of Christmas came from the Roman pagan festival of Saturnalia. Christmas would be no fun if it weren't for pagans.

Back in the day, we celebrated Christ's birthday at Church in the AM, had a wonderful Christmas turkey or ham dinner, after saying our blessing. Then it was off to the Christmas tree for presents.

    So what did I miss?

Christmas comes from Paganism as the Christian story was formed back in the Constantine days of Paganism...Jesus, the businessman, and his wife, Mary Magdeline, were children from royal families and the Christian story was inspired by a bunch of rebels that became the church and removed the pregnant Mary from the picture as she bore Jesus's child...

Most people are clueless as is evident in the video. It is a holiday steeped in paganism originally, and is not even celebrated at the actual time of year Jesus was born. And being Christian is not about being tolerant of peoples ignorance either. Freedom of religion...YES, tolerance and stupidity...NO!

Do you even know what a pagan is? A person who doesn't acknowledge God.
You do know your video comes from a Russian media outlet, don't you? Something tells me they're not really big on religion to begin with.

Pagans just dont acknowledge the mono-theistic gods. Much in the same way Christians dont acknowledge every other god but there own.
