He's got a point. Unfortunately, all of the American people pay the price for the idiots that voted for Obama and may vote for him again.

Actually. I don't believe that there are that many out there that plan on voting for BHO again. I think the numbers are inflated by the media and the operatives in the social network arenas.

At least not as many pro-Obama voters that will unable to derail the upcoming LANDSLIDE-TYPE EPIC HISTORICAL DEFEAT of Obama.

My main worry and concern is whether or not Obama (or his actions resulting therein) leads to a cancellation of the election in November 2012. If he decides the election null and void, what happens then?

People say, "oh, Obama wouldn't do that!" He did it with amnesty for his 20 million illegals, he did it when stopping oil drilling across the CONUS (particularly the GOMEX). he has done it with his battle plan for rolling out Obamacare and I wouldn't put it past him in regards to the election wherein he faces certain defeat.

I hope the numbers are inflated. But as you say... the numbers won't matter if Obama cancels the election. And I damn well do think he'll do it... or try.

I didn't like it, but he is right about the taxation language, despite the President's past assertsions that it is not a tax, clearly it is. I am not okay with the way the media is trying to tear Chief Justice Roberts apart for his decision. The reason the Justices get life long appointments is so that they can take the long view on all the issues that come across their desks, without having to worry about getting re-elected the way Congress and the President do. He acted as his conscience dictated. It sucks, but we the people have to fix this mess. Romney 2012!

I'm not certain what to think of his quote,I thought his role was to establish or deny the Constitutionality of Federalized Healthcare, not conjecture about who voted for whom, does this mean he didnt consider those of us that did not vote Obama? I wonder about his mental capacity as a jurist in the highest court of the land....

And technically, you cannot challenge a tax until you've paid it, which won't happen until the next midterms. The SCOTUS merely punted away the football. Roberts just told the voters to handle it.

Roberts is a narrow constructionist and won't "opine" or speculate on what someone might have meant. If it can be considered a tax, it's within CONGRESS' constitutional powers. If Congress doesn't like what it did, it can undo it. Basically, Roberts said the SC would NOT make policy or play politics; it would decide the limited issue on the specific point.

The surprise to me was Kennedy. I had thought there'd be 4 for it (the Libs), 3 against it (the Cons), and 2 swing votes (Kennedy and Roberts) who might concur on different grounds from the pro and con factions. I thought Roberts would swing con, and Kennedy would be the only wild card.

Personally I think Roberts chose the "smaller" argument (taxes) rather than the larger (commerce) because it was less murky. A tax is simple, "commerce" opens up all sorts of issues about doing business in different states, etc.

Even the tax is murky when you realize people will be taxed on something they are not buying rather than something they are.

He's right and now the citizens will have to make choices necessary to best represent our interests. What I don't like is Justice Roberts has set a precedence circumventing our Constitution, thus we must be extremely cautious of any forthcoming edicts from this current idiot in office. Every action must be scruptinized.

But what happens when the LSM and Hollywood and others in the bag for these progressives, reparationists, racists and liberal idiots? Lots of America can't be bothered, and the young? Most went to school where liberal dormrats (teachers in the bag for Obama because of union perks and bennies...) taught. So many parents are AWOL and interested in the bloody Kardashians instead of policing their children.

    I'm tired. It's been non-stop for 5 years now. I'm tired...

Since when is upholding the Constitution not the Supreme Court's Job? If he wants to get technical about it, it's not his job to rewrite a law by making it a tax, rather than the government forcing people to buy something, so that it is constitutional and then uphold it. Robert's is the epitome of an activist judge. It's not the right of a judge to write law or make law, from the bench and that is what he did!

I don' know if I can agree on that right now. Getting voted into office does not make someone immune to the law. We have three branches of Government. The Executive, the Legislative and the judicial. It is the Judicial branch that overlooks all three.

I did not vote for the idiot in the oval office. I saw this social government coming down the road back in 2007. The people that voted him in deserve what they are reaping. In 2007 1 in 50 people were on welfare, today it's 1 in 7. God help us if we don't get rid of Obama in November.
