Chick-Fil-A dealt with a storm of bad press a short while ago because of a statement by Dan Cathy, the president of the fast-food chain, saying he was "guilty as charged" when asked about his opposition to gay marriage. His comments, along with Chick-Fil-A's monetary donations to anti-gay organizations, led to a media frenzy.

But times have changed. Now, a Chick-Fil-A executive has confirmed that the chicken-loving, fast-food chain will stop donating to such anti-gay groups like Focus on the Family and the Family Research Council, according to The Civil Rights Agenda. Do you think this news is a great step for the fast-food company? Or do you feel that Chick-Fil-A was bullied into making this decision?

NYDAILYNEWS.COM reports:
Chick-Fil-A had plenty of support for its anti-gay-marriage stance, but in the end, the restaurant chain chickened out.

Your post only applies to yourself and not to me.
Your the one that suffers from the mental illness of liberalism and you're telling me I'm crazy.

Just goes to show how foolish and mentally warped you really are.
Believing a lie and accepting it as truth or fact is total foolishness.
Seek professional help ASAP as you're as looney as they come.

You're the one that accepted the lie as truth, Stix pointed out your error and you tell him "your facts are skewed by your source". Pure foolishness.

But by "supporting traditional marriage" you mean not letting other consenting adults get married, right?

And you profess to be a Christian as you slander other Christians?

Putting political views above religion is hypocritical.

Are you saying that because I believe in equality, that I'm not Christian? Where did I slander other Christians? I don't understand your reasoning.

You continue to spew the lies about Dan Cathy even though you've been proven wrong on the issue. You perpetuate a known lie therefore you are a liar.

I still will not eat there, their core beliefs are still the same. To be honest, i've never eaten there before they released that statement, it just doesn't look that good. I am extremely glad that they stopped supporting anti-gay organizations.

Chick-Fil-A has not changed their possition...it is another lie being spread by the lying left. And since when is standing up for traditional marriage a bad thing? You people are so biased in your singular points of view.
  • JS Stix 2012/09/24 18:34:34
    JS
Isn't that the same as you having a singular point of view on traditional marriage? They can stand up for what they believe in all they want, but I'll do the same and chose to disagree with them.

Why does the left have to force the rest of us to accept their definition of marriage by forcing us to allow gay people to be included in what has been a man and a woman thing for over 5,000 years? Why don't the gays petition their legislators to come up with a concept that allows gay people the same rights as a husband and wife in a marriage without changing the definition of marriage for the rest of us? Why do they insist on changing everyones understanding of this tradition? Why do they call us bigots and homophobes simply because we defend traditional marriage? I will tell you why...the left wants to change America...they do not like people of faith...they do not like the traditions America has...they want to force us all into their way of thinking. In Canada where gay marriage has been the law of the land for several years now, the left have passed hate speach laws that will imprison or fine people who speak out against gay marriage...you can lose your license to do business in Canada if you refuse gays services even if you hold a religious objection to gay marriage. First they force you to accept gay marriage, then they punish you if you speak up against it...the liberal way. Is that the kind of forced acceptance you want in America?

Things change, it's the 21st century. I understand your point of view but I do disagree. I just don't understand how it is considered right to exclude someone, I really don't think that's what God want. That's my opinion though, you can feel however you want.
  • Stix JS 2012/10/02 00:42:50

Man can not marry another man. That is a homosexual relationship and has nothing to do with marriage...what is so hard to understand about that? If you want to honor that discusting life style then come up with your own tradition and cerimoney but don't cheapen marriage for all the rest of us. Why do we have change our understanding of marriage and why do we have to do it your way? It is the 21st century...get off your lazy ass and come up with something for the gays and get it passed into law and quite slamming people who defend traditional marriage....
  • JS Stix 2012/10/08 20:46:51

I'm sorry, you can have you opinion and I can have my own. That's exclusion in my opinion, and you can *QUIT slamming people who want everyone to have equal rights. No matter who you want to marry, it shouldn't matter. I do respect your opinion but I have my own just like many others.

They are a business, and should stay out of taking sides on any issue. Acting like they have, is just asking for customers to stay away. My biggest problem with Chick-Fil-A is their prices.

This is America...a business can take any point of view that they choose...standing up for traditional marriage is a classy thing that generated millions of new customers for them.
