Robert Knight, writing in The Washington Times (and reprinted below, with his permission), calls on people to support Chick-fil-A tomorrow when the liberal "boycott" is supposed to happen.

Knight also quotes Eugene Volokh, who in turn quotes a legal precedent that says that these liberal mayors are laying themselves open to lawsuits: Board of County Commissioners v. Umbehr (1996).

So what will you do tomorrow? Will you support Chick-fil-A, or oppose them?

Definitely support Chick-fil-A. This strikes at the heart of our freedom of speech. Don't let the Politically Correct Police tell you what you may or may not say, nor to whom.

i do not protest chick-fil-a, they have just as much of a right to voice their belief as gays do to flaunt their pride.
I do not support chick-fil-a because i dont care if people wanna be gay.
I will never stop eating at chick-fil-a

do you not get the fact that people are not there to support the fact that chick-fil-a doesnt agree with gay marriages, but to support the fact that they have a right to their opinion just as gays do their pride? get a grip, this entire thing is blown out of proportion to keep the massing fighting while they pass law after law ripping our freedom little by little!

Nobody is denying their "right to have an opinion." They just have the right to have an opinion about that... But I don't think you're being genuine here --rather I don't think that "right to have an opinion" thing is genuine about Chik-supporters here... If his opinion was "I hate Jews and the holocaust a hoax" would those same people be "supporting his right to have an opinion" then? I doubt it. So it isn't about some "right to have an opinion" as much as it's about agreeing with his opinion or not. Those people don't get that that "opinion" hurts people. Real people with real consequences. Real suicides, real firings, real bruses and real broken bones. Real fear they have to live with because of these "opinions."

those people might not support it, but others would. they have a right to have their opinion weather you agree with it or not!
me personally, i do not support their opinion, i strongly believe in freedom and if 2 same-sexes want to marry its none of my business, however chick-fil-a is in no violation by voicing their opinion just as gays are in no violation flaunting their gay pride. this is no different then whites and blacks, if a white man is proud to be white he is racist, if a black man is proud to black he is strong!
    and i qoute
" this entire thing is blown out of proportion to keep the massing fighting while they pass law after law ripping our freedom little by little!"

And what exactly law are they passing that's restricting my freedom? That' "unfairness" you mention will go away when a black man can get a cab in New York.

When a white man shoots a black man it's "Stand your ground" and Fox News has a collection for his legal fund... When a black man shoots a white man it's "First Degree Murder" and Fox pundits cry for the death penalty.

Why would anyone be proud to be a color? I understand if you're oppressed and you want to chip away at that oppression but white people own everything --we're not oppressed and our parents and grand parents enjoyed pretty much total run of the place. Watch tv before like 1975. Someone asked why isn't there a "white history month" Because EVERY month is white history month! What we call "history" is white history.

It's not racist it's a fact. You think it's racist because you don't get what "racist" is. Racism is what happens when a black man tries to get a cab in New York. It's a real consequence, not a concept.

And Even though your grandparents were immigrants we are all accomplices after the fact. We may not have robbed the bank personally but we showed up later to help count the money. White people still get pulled over less, punnished less for the same crimes, get hired easier, get loans easier those are all facts and facts don't make anyone "look stupid."

When your grandparents got here there were still restaurants black people couldn't eat at for God's sake you think they had no more opportunities than a black man's grandparents?

restaurants black people eat gods sake opportunities black mans grandparents

your ignorance is astounding! do some research dipshyt.

    http://www.aawc.com/aao.html

not to mention all the government grants you receive to start a business or to go to school just for the simple fact your a minority. YOU GET FREE MONEY JUST BECAUSE YOUR BLACK! Have you ever sat in the SS office before? you see the number of blacks v.s. whites? i have and i see blacks with three kids running around them while they are playing on their iphone with their new hair do and 3 inch nails and gucci purse. then they go out in the parking lot and get in their v8 suburban sitting on 20 inch rims. and i see the the white lady with 2 kids getting in run down focus that barely starts that was denied food stamps because she has a job making minimum wage and works 10 - 12 hours a day just to get food on her table all because the richest people in america happen to be white so therefore all white people must be rich and own everything!

But think of all the free money I got because my parents were property owning white middle class people! I'm white and I didn't pay a dime for college! There's already "affirmative action" for white people. It's called the "good old boy network" and it's been around forever.

Yes I have sat at the SS office. Believe me that gucci purse was a knock off --and the iphone is free with a 2 year data plan. Not that big a deal. She's not allowed to have a phone? If she gets a job who's gonna watch her kids? Minimum wage jobs don't pay enough for child care so right now it's cheaper to just feed them till she can get something better. And when she does -ass most do, she'll get something that pays back more than what she took. And since her kids have a safe place to eat and go to school they're less likely to commit crimes and that saves us even more money.

In the area I was in they were ALL WHITe and pretty much looked like meth heads but that's in the PNW. And how many black ladies do you see with the same exact problem? Working 2 or 3 jobs and barely can make ends meet and have a hard time getting government assistance that they desparately need. They're out there but you don't notice them do you?

The truth is MOST recipients of Food Stamps, Welfare, SSI and medicaid are WHITE. Period.

Neither. Chick-fil-A's chicken sandwiches are delicious, but I'll eat them on some other day to avoid making a political statement I don't agree with.

Chick-fil-A is free to support conservative social values that I find to be silly/petty, and people who are severely offended by that are free to boycott them. That's how freedom works.

Now, if they're going to be denied a business "permit" over this, that is absolute BS, and it's just more evidence of why business permits have absolutely no place in a free country.

I would eat there, because I want to try out his fried chicken; but the owners of this restaurant doesn't like the lifestyle of Las Vegas, and won't build one in here.. So F##k him. If you don't like my answer on this matter, let me remind you....Chick-fil-A has a establishment in Atlantic City. What the owners problem about Las Vegas...we struck down the same-sex marriage in Nevada, so what's his problem?

I'd never been there before but I ate lunch there today and the taste of sweet liberty was so good, I got in line again and ordered another helping. When you order, they ask for your name. I told the girl my name was "Eat Mor Chikin'" so they would have to call out "Eat mor chikin'!! "Eat mor chikin'!!" I then raised my hand and said, "That's me! Eat Mor Chikin'!" It was crazy busy though!

The owners of Chick-Fil-A have every right to speak freely of their heart felt beliefs. I agree with their stand that forcing our country to accept homoseaual unions as "Marriages" will continue the demise of the very fabric of our nation. The people have spoken again and again against such unions being redefined as marriage and it is the people's choice to do so! Government should have NOTHING to do with it! The government has NOTHING to do with defining the relationship between my wife and I as a marriage so why should homosexual get special treatment! If tax breaks are the thing standing between the people and the word marriage, then by all means, take away the tax breaks! But i refuse to call a demented act and union something legitimate!

If CFA is still doing this much business by then, it might be hard to get in to be able to stage any kind of nonsense. Of course, CFA will be well within their rights to ask people to leave who do not make purchases, especially if they are interrupting those who are.

Isn't it funny how INTOLERANT the liberal left is???

I find it highly ironic that Target, Starbucks and Home Depot who give HUGE amounts to gay causes are not being boycotted by Christians, but let ONE Christian business NOT support gay marriage (support gays, hire gays-just no to gay marriage) gets a huge national bust out and a nycity councilwoman calling for them to apologize and change their position OR she will use her influence to get them removed from NYU.
