Perhaps not all those living in Chicago share the "Chicago values" espoused by Mayor Rahm Emanuel. It turns out that some local religious leaders are fighting back against the mayor and voicing not only their displeasure with his comments but their support for REAL values.
"Do not disrespect us...We, too, are Chicago," the Rev. Charles Lyons of the Armitage Baptist Church thundered from the pulpit Sunday.
Cardinal Francis George also criticized Emanuel's stance, asking in the Catholic Chicago Blog if everyone who did not agree with Emanuel faced a similar fate.

Or maybe this was a distraction from tyrannical legislation going through the Senate. Anyway, I'm glad people are coming out of the woodwork in support of freedom of speech and freedom of religion.

Chicago values?" Its the murder capital of the country with mostly Black youth
being slaughtered daily on the streets. Most of the time it is just between gang
neer do wells, but when you see some Black student who is honor roll status
and wanting to get out of the ghetto by sweat of his own being, it is extremely
sad. It reminds me of Charles Payne who raised by a single mother along with
two brothers in Harlem, and he wanted to be a businessman........... He is a
productive citizen now with a good family........ had he lived in Chicago, he may
never had gotten out alive.
Such a waste of life, and is that Rahm's Chicago Values?
That in mind the better question is why do Citizens elect him? Lol...or do they?
THANK YOU!
