On Wednesday, Dick Cheney, Former Vice President, and most vocal opponent to everything the Obama Administration has attempted and accomplished since President Obama took the oath of office on January 20th, was awarded the “Keeper of the Flame Award” at the Center For Security Policy Dinner at Union Station in Washington D.C.

If anyone had said similar things about the Bush Administration to what he persistently says about President Obama and his Administration, then Vice President, Dick Cheney, would have considered that person no less than treasonous. But though Mr. Cheney and his politically motivated, media ubiquitous and equally vocal daughter Liz have done everything in their power to undermine the authority and effectiveness of the new administration while at the same time almost double-daring terrorist groups to attack us again, they have repeatedly proven that our 1st amendment right of free speech can simultaneously be our most valuable and at the same time most dangerous constitutional right.

All of the victories of the Cheney-Bush Administration that Dick and Liz extol are based on the misguided presumption that the Cheney Administration and its unconstitutional and morally base tactics kept our country safe from terrorism, while at the same time they ignore the fact that it was their Administration’s failures which prepared the American soil for the Al-Qaeda attacks on September 11th 2001, nine months into their Administration.

In 1995, militant Islamist Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman and 9 others were convicted of conspiracy charges, and in 1998, Ramzi Yousef, believed to have been the mastermind, was convicted of the bombing. Al-Qaeda involvement is suspected.

June 25, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia: truck bomb exploded outside Khobar Towers military complex, killing 19 American servicemen and injuring hundreds of others. 13 Saudis and a Lebanese, all alleged members of Islamic militant group Hezbollah, were indicted on charges relating to the attack in June 2001.

Aug. 7, Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania: truck bombs exploded almost simultaneously near 2 U.S. embassies, killing 224 (213 in Kenya and 11 in Tanzania) and injuring about 4,500. 4 men connected with al-Qaeda 2 of whom had received training at al-Qaeda camps inside Afghanistan, were convicted of the killings in May 2001 and later sentenced to life in prison. A federal grand jury had indicted 22 men in connection with the attacks, including Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden, who remained at large.

Oct. 12, Aden, Yemen: U.S. Navy destroyer USS Cole heavily damaged when a small boat loaded with explosives blew up alongside it. 17 sailors killed. Linked to Osama bin Laden, or members of al-Qaeda terrorist network.

I totally understand why anything Cheney says is 'beyond' you! To comprehend FACTS one is required to be receptive to them. I'm sure you're familiar with the theory that espouses liberalism is a mental disorder...... Three of the most common characteristics of this disease are as follows:

1. A mind seemingly so 'open' as to render itself entirely EMPTY; devoid of the ability of cognitive reasoning consequently providing fertile ground for propagandist programming.

A few of the more common symptoms: character assassination of opponents, ethically challenged (confused re: right and wrong as they change dependent upon the programmer's immediate need) and vulnerable to dictates as to common human needs such as allowing programmer to create specific appetites and/or preferences.

2. A mind so narrow as to immediately reject any thought or theory contradictory to the will of the propagandist programmer, consequently preventing the sufferer from every experiencing discernment or an epiphany. Symptoms: same as above.

3. Bush derangement syndrome. Irrational insistence that EVERYTHING negative that has occurred in nature and in life is the sole responsibility of George W Bush and/or Dick Cheney. As difficult as it is to believe, liberals will call both of these men 'stupid and impotent' while simultaneously denouncing them as 'all powerful'......
Symptoms: same as above.

At first blush, this diagnosis may seem contradictory, I admit... However, I have yet to meet or speak with a liberal who hasn't manifested ALL three of these characteristics. EXAMPLE: Barry Soetoro AKA Barack Hussein Obama. If you doubt me, count how many times in a given speech he contradicts himself (ESPECIALLY when his teleprompter fails).

Blondie......those of us who cherish our country, like Cheney, will NEVER shut up! Live with it, or not, I could care less!
