What is very realistic though is to make the claim that SP helped John McCain more than he helped himself.
Let's review the facts - McCain was down two or three points in the polls, picked SP and went up 3 points on obama. McCain then went to Washington, along with barak (postponing the first debate), to discuss the financial bailout with President Bush. barak said he was all for bailing out the financial system. McCain seemed unprepared and just went along with the bailout option instead of standing up for the American people and saying what we all really wanted, "No damn bailouts", and we wanted it said forcefully and with certainty. From that moment of weakness McCain lost the election. He didn't attack barak's past which was filled with Communist associations every where the social worker went in his life.
Meanwhile, McCain made the comment that SP was drawing bigger, more enthusiastic crowds to rally's than he was, and rightly so.
Mr. Cheney was a very good VP, but he is not helping the conservative cause AT ALL by misrepresenting the factual nature of what really happened during the 08 campaign and John McCain's failure to make the case that he should be president and not a man that had "Communist" wr...

This just further proves that Cheney is in the "RINO" category, and not the true conservative America REALLY needs right now. Sara Palin is the REAL DEAL, Cheney is just blowing in the wind.
White House Chief of Staff (75-77)
US Rep (79-89)
House Minority Whip (89)
Secretary of Defense (89-93)
Ms. Palin was:
Mayor of Wasilla, AK (96-02)
Chairperson of the Alaska Oil & Gas Conservation Commission (03-04)
Governor of Alaksa (06-09)
Mr. Cheney, once in office, was considered one of the most engaged VP's we've had in some time.
You may not agree with his policy choices or his approach, but Mr. Cheney was certainly very qualified and a very engaged VP.

I'll bet she would have been quite good.
Palin added stupidity.
