Romney is right on this. This is a state by state issue not a federal issue just like abortion should have been decided by the states instead of the Supreme Court. These are issues where the 10th amendment should apply. There is nothing in our US Constitution that gives the federal government the right to push this on the american public especially since it goes against the religious beliefs (1st amendment) of a lot of americans.

Marriage by anyone is not a right. It is a license issued by states. States limit who can get married and who can't. The states define what a marriage is.

If there is anything funny about this whole matter it is the belief by the left that this issue helps Obama in the upcoming election. That one has me rolling on the floor laughing. Every state that has had the issue on the ballot, including CA, have voted down the idea. Oftentimes the vote has been overwhelming.

We all know most blacks wil vote for Obama because he is black. Wrong, although many African Americans don't believe in same sex marriage it will not stop them for voting for the president. It doesn't matter what their pastor tell them but I suspect majority of the pastor will not try to turn the congregation against him.
