Carville: There’s No Recovery, Stupid

James Carville. We reported it yesterday. Today he says it. He was on Good Morning America talking about Obama and the polling data that they have at Carville’s company and what Obama should and should not say.
CARVILLE: I’m worried that when the White House or the campaign talks about the progress that’s being made, people take that as a signal that they think that things are fine and people don’t feel that or believe that. They want to be reassured that he understands the depth of the problem and that he has a plan to deal with the deterioration of the middle class.
RUSH: Deterioration of the middle class. Is that happening? What deterioration of the middle class? We’re three-and-a-half years into this regime. We’re in a recovery. We’ve turned the corner. We’re back from the brink. Obama’s the judge of the middle class. What deterioration of the middle class? Does Carville know what he’s saying? Yes, he does. See, that’s the key. Mr. Democrat, James Carville, shortly after Lanny Davis comes out and says, “Boy, there’s some really vicious people in the Obama campaign.” James Carville: You better not talk about the economy. It’s not gonna work, people aren’t feeling it, they’re living it, there’s middle class deterioration, I don’t know what the president gonna do, he can’t talk about this. People want to know and they want to be reassured he understands. People would like to know that he cares. And that’s what there’s not much evidence of. http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2012/06/13/carville_there_s... I'm gonna predict. It isn't gonna be long, maybe tomorrow, maybe tonight, New York Times, Washington Post, cable news network, whatever, somebody out there is gonna say they don't like this business of blaming Bush, that this isn't gonna work. It's old and tired and worn out, and there's no evidence that it ever did work. They've been blaming Bush since before they were immaculated. And it's obvious blaming Bush doesn't work, and yet they're circling back to that now, and you watch. Troubled supporters of Obama in the State-Controlled Media are gonna gently try to say, "Get off of this." Like Carville saying, "Don't tout the economy," now others are gonna say, "Don't blame Bush. It will be almost four years, don't, it's not practical." You watch. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm reporting that on tomorrow's program. Related Links

It's not gonna work, people aren't feeling it, they're living it, there's middle class deterioration, I don't know what the president gonna do, he can't talk about this. People want to know and they want to be reassured he understands. People would like to know that he cares. And that's what there's not much evidence of. Let's go to Obama himself. He was in Baltimore yesterday, campaign event. This is his new tack. RUSH: It must be slim pickings at the campaign, if that's all they got. And it's clear, Carville has shaken 'em up. Carville's told 'em, you can't talk about the economy, people aren't gonna buy it. Don't tell them the economy's coming back, because it isn't, they're living it, they know it's not. So they're heeding the Carville message where the only thing they think they can do is blame it all on Bush. Everything happening today is the result of what happened three-and-a-half years ago and further back. We've had nothing to do with it. We are valiant fighters. We have done everything we can to reverse this trend, and it's all Bush's fault. It's worse than we knew, and they lied to us about how bad it was and our brave, courageous President Kardashian is doing everything he can. He talked to Sarah Jessica Parker about it just the other day. He'll be talking to Anna Wintour about it next week. We're working very hard on getting this all reversed, but it's Bush's fault. We'll see how that works out for 'em.

There is no way the "blame Bush" strategy can ever work.
Wake up! Your unawareness is what is ridiculous.
thanks, DG!
A "good" Democrat in Obama's eyes would stick with the party line, however absurd it may be, and only bring such things up in private.
An 'endorsement' like that will not sway many independents, but maintains some sort of pretense of loyalty among the base.
But their 'support' of Obama is left-handed... designed to undermine him with independent voters while maintaining a semblance of loyalty to fool the base.
