I'm afraid Carter got it wrong. Egypt WAS an ally of the US, but now that the MB has taken over, Egypt will ally itself with Iran.
President Obama is clearly out of his league. By helping to take down Mubarak, he created what will become a US enemy, and he doesn't even realize it.
When MSNBC criticizes Obama, we ALL better stand up and listen!

You know you’re doing it wrong with President Carter is correcting you, and he’s right:
Former President Jimmy Carter spoke to students at Drake University in Des Moines today and was asked if he agreed with what Obama said about Egypt:
Carter: “Egypt is an ally of the US, we know Egypt well.”
President Obama had earlier stated during an interview, “You know, I don’t think that we would consider them an ally, but we do not consider them an enemy.”
As if that’s not bad enough, the Obama gaffe even stunned MSNBC:
