This seems a bit too fishy to be just a coincidence to me. I think we seriously need to monitor contact with external sources that politicians have.
Both of these speeches where given by Members of parliament in the governments of Australia and Canada. They seem to be the exact same. Word to word copies. What is going on? I think that people need to wake up before it's far too late.

I don't think this seems fishy. Even if they are word to word copies. On the one hand, maybe the speechwriters for these people stole from each other, or maybe it does, like you imply, mean that Australia and Canada are in cahoots on...something. On the other hand: who cares? It was one speech that was made a decade ago. Has it happened before then? Since then? No? Then why is this important?reply -
That's the issue. Speech writers. You are voting for somebody who can't even say what they want on their own. You are voting for somebody else's words who you don't know. Is that not a problem in democracy?reply

It's the whole party who is putting work into getting your vote and mine, so I don't expect one person to do everything. That one person is just an avatar of the party, not a one-man political machine. If the head of a party wrote and his own speeches and filed his own reports and did made his own campaign posters, it wouldn't really be a party. Seewutimmasayin'?reply
