Can You Be Opposed to Obama's Presidency.Without Being Thought of Having an Underlying Racist Motive to Your Opposition?

Since before Obama took office and until the present, the narrative has been and is: if you oppose anything he does, there must be an underlying racist motive to your opposition. And if there's not underlying racism, as you claim, then you must agree with everything he does.
Those who wave the flag of progress in the face of America-in-decline -- and in defense of this president -- do so behind accusations that common sense, hard working Americans of all colors (e.g. Tea Party Patriots) are displaying their anger toward Barack Obama simply because he's black.
And no matter how long these accusations go unproven or how many times they are actually disproven, they continue to raise the cry of racism. MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry took the discussion of racism in America to new heights of absurdity (link to the story on The Blaze here) last week describing America's response to the attacks on 9/11...
Americans in part identify who we are, and who deserves what, through our notions of whiteness and of the racial enemies that are the non-whites. And in this moment, the new racial enemy became not so much Reagan's 'welfare queen,' who was imaginary, but instead this imagined other that is somehow Muslim, or Arab, or Sikh, or something else. We became willing to stomach a kind of horrific racial violence in the name of national security. It is something that we have been willing to stomach as a people over and over again in our history.
Again, hard working, common sense people can't possibly identify with the astonishing assessment that we all acted out of out our whiteness and turned our wrath of "horrific racial violence" on non-whites, simply because we hate non-whites!
This doesn't make sense because there's not a thread of truth in this elitist claim. It makes even less sense to common sense Americans than all the claims that Tea Party Patriots and others don't like Obama simply because of his non-whiteness.
There is a divide in America that's hardly ever mentioned in this debate, but it's not a prejudice divide. It's the divide between the elites and the average citizens. Most American's don't see Barack Obama's non-whiteness as a problem, but they do disdain his intellectual elitism! Elitism like I've not seen in my lifetime, which included living through the presidency of Jimmy Carter. Average Americans inherently reject this kind of alleged intellectual superiority.
But we don't just see Obama's elitism, we see the elitism of politicians from both parties and the media elites that support them.
This is what Reagan described as a danger to American Exceptionalism and our freedom in his speech A Time For Choosing at the 1964 Republican National Convention:
This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capitol can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves.
It's the elitism of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reed who pushed the unpopular Affordable Care Act through Congress in spite of, and some would say in the face of, the American people who opposed it. It's Eric Holder's fight with Arizona on SB 1070 in spite of popular support for the law and for immigration law enforcement by the states. And it's the President himself leading this group of liberal elites with numerous acts of defying the will of the people and congress.
To intellectual elites of this type, those who oppose them are not just ignorant, they are stupid. And there must be racism at the heart of opposition because the reasoning of the elites makes so much sense to them.
America's response to 9/11, opposition to the Affordable Care Act, and resistance to a government increasing in size with out-of-control spending has nothing to do with hatred for non-whiteness and everything to do with good-ole, common sense patriotism.
Americans see their freedoms eroding under this administration faster than ever before. And that's the source of their resistance to this president and his administration!

This is the delusional thinking that liberals/progressives try to make us believe; that Obama, no matter how inept and anti-American he is in his policies/leadership, they want us to believe and ACCEPT that he is all things they say he is - especially since he is our first Black president. (No, actually, Allen West will be that). They are trying to convince us that, as O'Brien says, "Sometimes they are all of them at once."

Obama has proven he's not the guy for the job. Therefore I will vote for ABO (Anyone But Obama) in 2012. Romney is the most viable opponent and therefore gets my vote. If Herman Cain won the nomination, I would have voted for him instead.

Samuel L. Jackson Voted For Obama "Because He's Black"
In an interview with Ebony, Jackson said, "I voted for Barack because he's black. 'Cuz that's why other folks vote for other people, because they look like them ... That's American politics, pure and simple. [Obama's] message didn't mean [bleep] to me."
I guess it helps that Jackson didn't even know what the policies were, he voted black.
