Rep. Ryan, the GOP is selling something that does not exist. His plan to turn medicare into a private insurance with ever declining subsidies does not have a single plan in the world with half the coverage of medicare. It will cost seniors an additional $6000 out of pocket according to CBO. Over 100 million seniors without coverage in the world have more than twice the average $19,000 US senior income.

He has asked the GOP to fights attacks against his plan.

“If you just play defense or ignore this, they’re going
to define this, they’re going to demagogue you and they’ll get away
with it,” Ryan told reporters Thursday during a breakfast sponsored by
the Christian Science Monitor. “And they’ll scare seniors.”

“I’m excited about it,” Ryan added.

Ryan said the May 2011 special election in New York, where now Rep.
Kathy Hochul and fellow Democrats seized on the Medicare issue to win
control of the traditionally GOP district, taught Republicans to play
offense on health care.

The United States is the only industrialized country in the world demonizing and penalizing (financially) people for getting sick or injured.

Get the insurance companies out of Washington, and out of the crooks pockets that are supposed to be our leaders and a soulation can be found. There are no regulations on insurance companies, because they spend a boat load of money buying pollitions that protect them.Get rid of obama care and start over with laws that are fair to consumer and insurance companies, insurance companies can do what they want with rates, and they have to go up under the current law.

I agree with much of your post except the "Obamacare" quote. There is no such thing as "Obamacare." It is a derogatory term coined by radical right-wingers to deliberately under-mind the concept of providing national health care. I don't agree with ALL of Obama's health care plan but it's a start whereas NO other candidate will even address this issue that happens to be one of the financially damaging thing to our county ... 50 million people without health care .... and adding to that number daily.

Not private policies that I guess dipwad Ryan would have to set up, and then few could afford the premiums for such which would cost triple per month than what Medicare A & B cost now.

What does he care? Big Pharma and Big Med are taking care of him, and his Congressional pension and top notch permanent health care will see him through. He has no worries.

If the Republicans have their way Medicare & Medicaid will be done away with since they're government run insurance. That's why its so important to fight them tooth & nail.

You note that "It will cost seniors an additional $6000 out of pocket according to CBO." Excellent point.

Who will pay if the user does not pay this $6000?

You can google senior health plans with full coverage and only find government programs, nothing in the private sector.

All government programs, that's all I can find. Maybe you can point out the private ones that aren't a government program just administered by a for profit?

Ya know my friend, it really angers me when people engage in intellectual dishonesty. She said "google senior health care." Everything is "Supplemental" coverage in addition to Medicare. There is no "private, for profit" insurance coverage for senior citizens.

The "for profit" insurance industry has no desire to create a product for senior citizens. There's no profit in it. Old people get sick more frequently, have pre-existing conditions. They will never create a product exclusively for the elderly cuz they will lose money. The death panels the righties lied about during the healthcare debate will be a reality & it will be the for profit insurance agency that does it, like they have with so many Americans prior to the Affordable Care Act.

I wonder what IT has to say about Jan Brewer's actual death panels for the individuals in Arizona who are dying because she refuses to take the advise of a fellow mid-western Republican.
