A glimpse of political oblivion has suddenly inspired at least some Republicans to push for comprehensive immigration reform. But this does not guarantee that, six months from now, an immigration bill will be sent to the president or that, even if it is, Republicans will be saved from approaching demographic doom.
Latinos gave President Obama 71% of their votes in the 2012 election and helped add the electoral votes of Colorado, Florida and Nevada to the president’s winning total. Republicans are terrified that if the current trend continues – Latinos rising as a share of the electorate and leaning strongly toward Democrats – Texas and Arizona will also be lost to them in the near future. And if those states are lost, so is the White House.

So we can only hope the Latino's have more balls than a lot of blacks and a lot of the whites and stand up and take care of themselves. If they do you will see them siding with the Republicans.
There is a difference. Americans from Mexico are as likely to support Republicans as they are Democrats. Its a close call.
Mexicans from Mexico do not care to support anything that is America, except the support they are given, promised more of, and complain they do not get enough of. If you're talking about those Mexicans, which the Media is and I assume this question is directed about. Oh, and lets face facts here, the Democrats, Liberals and Progressive are exploiting the second group as if they were the first to garner support for their own agenda which has absolutely nothing to do which the "Latino" situation. They are at war with all that disagree and they will stop at nothing to get their complete and utter disgorgement of American values and way of life to end and be replaced with their "social Justice" plan that has destroyed every other country that has fallen down that path.
the reason black folks dont vote republican is cause we dont trust the crusty old white dudes running the party. this is the party that all the Klan members helped form and joined when they werent satisfied with the direction of the other party.
and when that same good ole boy party uses words like entitlement and personal responsibility, its clear that they are talking about us and not to us.
so its clear to me that, at least with you, things havent changed.
whether you like black or Mexican people, the party needs to realize that they cant win without us. 2020 will be the last year white people are the majority. You simply cant treat minorities like simple demographics. Inclusion is the answer. but the good ole boys are afraid to lose all that corrupt power.

When this happens that's when Obama will be exchanged and ask to pack his bags or we will pack them for him.
Then theirs a very good chance that this country will have a Plan to recovery and everyone will have a chance to change the World exactly like JOHN LENNON said, just maybe John's dream to "Give Peace A Chance" will come true also a chance that would be great "War Is Over" no one knows what's down the Winding Road we all need to "Come Together" and we can "Get Back" this country like it was many years ago it will be a lot of work but it's better than having Obama running us all into the ground and that's not going to happen !!!!!!

I know Mexicans who try to make a living here. Sure some get WIC, but many more sleep 8 to an apartment, work several jobs a piece to try to get by, are devoutly religious, hold high regard for the "sanctity" of life, and are very traditional, family-oriented people (there's very, very few "baby's daddy's" and many more dads and fathers with Mexicans, too.) Yet they vote for Democrats not for entitlements, but because they want the right to escape the hell hole their country's become (thanks Drug War and NAFTA!) for a chance to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. If the GOP pushed for immigration reform, California would turn into a Red State tomorrow.
Judging by the comments I'm reading though, there's more White conservatives who'd rather justify their prejudices to absolve themselves of any responsibility than to accept that people of different skin colors can be conservative as well. If the GOP doesn't want to go the way of the dinosaur, this is an a...

Powell's advice instead of trying to paint a picture that shows Jwanna Welfare or Jose Welfarez are ruining this country and not the horrible policies that ensure we sell our country out to the highest bidder (please don't be glib and tell me it's just the libs doing this, either. As long as we keep voting GOP or Dem, we're choosing between two different flavors of globalist-NWO Kool-Aid and not anything that remotely represents the best interests of Americans.)

However, there are those who own businesses, houses, etc. and pay taxes and have contributed to our economy (what little there is left of it)? ... they are still criminals, but to those there should be fines and a hard path to citizenship if they wish to take that hard path. Robert Byrd, current senator from West Virginia
J. William Fulbright, Arkansas senator and political mentor of Bill Clinton
Albert Gore Sr., Tennessee senator, father and political mentor of Al Gore. Gore Jr. has been known to lie about his father's opposition to the Civil Rights Act.
Sam Ervin, North Carolina senator of Watergate hearings fame
Richard Russell, famed Georgia senator and later President Pro Tempore
The complete list of the 21 Democrats who opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 includes Senators:
Hill and Sparkman of Alabama, Fulbright and McClellan of Arkansas,
Holland and Smathers of Florida, Russell and Talmadge of Georgia, Ellender and Long of Louisiana,Eastland and Stennis of Mississippi, Ervin and Jordan of North Carolina, Johnston and Thurmond of South Carolina, Gore Sr. and Walters of Tennessee, H. Byrd and Robertson of Virginia, R. Byrd of West Virginia.
Democrat opposition to the Civil Rights Act was substantial enough to literally split the party in two. A whopping 40% of the House Democrats VOTED AGAINST the Civil Rights Act, while 80% of Republicans SUPPORTED it.
Republican support in the Senate was even higher. Similar trends occurred with the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which was supported by 82% of House Republicans and 94% of Senate Republicans. The same Democrat standard bearers took their normal racists stances, this time with Senator Fulbright leading the opposition effort.
It took the hard work of Republican Senate Minority Leader Everett Dirksen and Republican Whip Thomas Kuchel to pass the Civil Rights Act (Dirksen was presented a civil rights accomplishment award for the year by the head of the NAACP in recognition of his efforts).
Upon breaking the Democrat filibuster of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Republican Dirksen took to the Senate floor and exclaimed "The time has come for equality of opportunity in sharing in government, in education, and in employment. It will not be stayed or denied. It is here!"

This ALL perfectly honest history but if you ask a Democrate the opposite is true, they have a LONG HISTORY OF HATE and race problems so its hard for anyone to understand why anyone takes them serious in these issues!
Outside of Congress, the three most notorious opponents of school integration were all Democrats:
Orval Faubus, Democrat Governor of Arkansas and one of Bill Clinton's political heroes.
George Wallace, Democrat Governor of Alabama.
Lester Maddox, Democrat Governor of Georgia.
There is absolutely no reason for us tp lose this debate, HISTORY is on our side not theirs and they should be ashamed of their racist behavior for past decades and now. Their stripes haven't changed they simply stopped being overtly racist and started using race to their advantage by passing racist policies that keep people under their politcal foot!
During the Civil War era, the "Radical Republicans" were given that name because they wanted to not only end slavery but also to endow the freed slaves with full citizenship, equality, and rights. But Liberals today have twisted that fact into an unregegnizable shadow of itself. Now we are the radical blockers of peoples needs like Jobs, welfare and imigration reform when the truth is we want REAL REFORM OF ALL THIS AND MORE.
The next time Democrats take to the national airwaves to dishonestly accuse Republicans of racial hatred, remember who the historical record up until this very day points to as the real bigots: The Democrat Party.

Rev. Jesse Jackson, Democrat keynote speaker and race hustler known for making anti-Semitic slurs.
Rev. Al Sharpten, Democrat activist and perennial candidate and race hustler known inciting anti-Semitic violence in New York City.
Sen. Ernest Hollings, leading Democrat Senator known for use of racial slurs against several minority groups.
Lee P. Brown, former Clinton cabinet official and Democrat mayor of Houston who won reelection using racial intimidation against Hispanic voters.
Andrew Cuomo, former Clinton cabinet official and Democrat candidate for NY Governor who made racist statements about a black opponent.

The real reform we must have is to get Washington to OBEY its own Laws on the books concerning Imigration and stop this nonsensical policy of RACE BAITING anyone who is opposed to Obama's policies! Its shameful and embarrassing for America to witness.
Neither party today is racist... period. They only accuse each other of being so... again to gain political points. The Democrats have been more successful at that endeavor as evidenced by the last election.
