    Of course not and religion doesn't give you a pass on morality either.. Some of the most immoral people are Christians..

    "Governments" .. the ones with the power ..
    have as long as people have gathered into groups ..
    tried to 'legislate' .. good 'citizenship' ..

    however ..
    we all are aware ..
    there will be in any group
    those that make OTHER Choices for their lives ..
    (for shock, defiance .. whatever)
    in that case .. find like to like ..
    and live with each other ..
    (but leave the rest to live their lives peacefully)

    If the Federal and State Governments were street smart and wise, they could generate beaucoup revenue by legalizing the so-called social taboos and taxing them, therefore, making plenty of money for their budgets. But they're dumb and make the populace suffer by taxing necessary commodities.
