The following is from a blog shared with me entitled... "20 obvious lies that would shock Conservatives (if they ever bothered to read a book or two)."
"Lie" # 2:
2) The greatest evil this country has ever committed isn’t slavery; it’s killing more than 50 million innocent children via abortion. Tell that to a slave.
I would like to "tell that to a slave", but I can't locate one. Can anyone help me? Name, address, email, or phone number. Anything!! Can ANYONE find me a slave in America?

Technically, we are all slaves. If we don't work, we don't have money to pay bills. In order to enjoy the comforts of society, we either have to be dependents of the state or slaves to the system. Sure, people find ways to shaft the system, and there are still those brave souls who escaped the demand and live in some rural part of the country but those are exceptions to the rule. They can tell me what I'm required to do; go to school, get a job, pay your taxes, get married, have a baby, grow old and cranky, and die but I'm still my own person. No one can take away what makes me, me. All of this political fighting is worthless nonsense and does nothing to improve quality of life

Perhaps you are taking that comment a tad too literally, as you have accused others of doing, with your own comments. There seems to be some slavery going on in our country still, but thankfully, MOST of it no longer sanctioned and legal..........

I found you some slaves, actually. Slavery was "legally" abolished 147yrs ago, not 400. In my own lifetime, the direct descendants of black slaves have been treated as inferior. Not saying that entitles special treatment now, but may as well get the facts right...........

LOL Rogue. But in all honesty, people are being held as slaves in this country and internationally. It wasn't what you are looking for, but it does still exist nonetheless :)
