When the parents of 9-year-old Michael took their son to a Florida researcher for help with his behavioral problems, they couldn't have expected the diagnosis he received. For six years, they'd gone through "A.D.D.," "depression," "O.C.D.," you name it, but when Dan Waschbusch examined Michael's behavior -- sudden shifts from violent agression to "calculated charm" -- he picked the word "psychopath."
The most striking thing about Michael's behavior is his ability to mask his dark side with calm, intelligent conversation -- something that isn't common in 9-year-olds. Psychologist Mark Dadds explains, "No one is comfortable labeling a 5-year-old a psychopath, [but] the research showing that this temperament exists and can be identified in young children is quite strong." But should a kid ever be labeled a "psychopath"?

with friends. Killing small helpless creatures every way only in
the imagination. Tormenting the little sister or brother
to no end.
There are those parents who truly believe their son or daughter
are little angels. In most cases that's true but there is always
that one or two percent that could have a future Bundy or
Gacy.etc, etc.
noun
a person with a psychopathic personality, which manifests as amoral and antisocial behavior, lack of ability to love or establish meaningful personal relationships, extreme egocentricity, failure to learn from experience, etc.
If the conditions are right, societies can and will breed by social osmosis these types of individuals...Since the beginning of time MANKIND has had this soulless and spiritual vacuum within these types of persons.. VOID OF EMPATHY.. NARCISSISTIC PERSONALITY DISORDER IN THE HIGHEST DEGREE. NO REGRETS or COMPUNCTIONS, and SO INTERNALLY and EXTERNALLY VIOLENT....this void of EMPATHY, is the greatest catalyst. Some social remedies are usable to lessen such a void, TEACHING CHILDREN the importance of OTHERS and TEACH THEM TO FEEL FOR OTHERS and HOW and WHAT it feels like to feel for other. EMPATHY CAN BE TAUGHT. As we see OUR WORLD is filled to the BRIM with NARCISSISM,"as long as I get me mine", "survival of the fittest" and " god doesn't exist" and "all is relative"..these ideas need to be DE-EMPHASIZED.....
PSYCHOPATHIC INDIVIDUALS start their path in CHILDHOOD.
This seems to be the diagnosis of one doctor. Is that so? A second opinion is definitely in order, here.
Most kids, especially teens, are considered mild sociopaths. It has to come from soemwhere, I suppose, but this is a dangerous way to look at it; are we going to start treating all misbehavior as psychopathy, now? I mean, the trendy, diagnosis-of-the-moment now is for any unexplained, small devation from "normal behavior" to be labelled "autism". A few years ago, it was ADD.
So easy to label what we don't understand, isn't it?
It's definitely something you're born with as an underlying cognitive function. It would be akin to seeing the "glass half empty/half full" and how you have a pre born disposition for perception. Except in this case, the glass, whether it breaks or not (when dropped) stirs no emotional response and you clean it up and move on. It's a cause and effect with no worth. Break your favorite glass? Stare down, examine it, move on. Think of the next logical thing to do like replace it or not. The same can be done with people. It takes a person to self condition themselves with the philosophical/intellectual reasoning to not succumb to said biology.
