Medicaid Providers Reimbursed Billions Despite Owing Back Taxes Tax cheats have been collecting billions of dollars from Medicaid as a result of the federal government’s failure to cut off contracts with medical providers owing the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
The Government Accountability Office (GAO) uncovered 7,000 businesses in just three states (Florida, New York, and Texas) that owed the IRS more than $790 million but had managed to collect $6.6 billion in Medicaid reimbursements in 2009 alone.
At least 32 providers owed $1 million each while receiving over $1 million in Medicaid funds, according to the GAO report. Of the 7,000 tax cheats found by the GAO, the amount owed ranged from $100,000 to more than $6 million. Continue reading : http://www.allgov.com/Top_Stories/ViewNews/Medicaid_Providers...

+1That is the exact problem, Government!!!! It was never met to be this big, per the Constitution. But Democrats, and many Republicans, think that our Constitution is worthless as our guiding tool for the Government. Democrats, would be just fine without it, unless they can use it in defense of something they want, And they for sure don't like its rules for the Federal Government vs the State's Rights to govern themselves. This should be the Year of the People. One in which we take back control of our Government, and stop letting the politicians Rule Us without Representation. If you can't see that is what they have all done for way to long, then you don't deserve to have the right to vote, or to call yourself American in my opinion. This is a Constitutional Republic, we should all be supporting that. Instead of turning it into a Give me State. be it controlled by Progressives, Socialists, Communists, Fascists, Marxists, or any combination of them.reply - santa6642 2012/08/14 13:28:18
