Burned Out On Chick-Fil-A?
Why are people supporting Chick-Fil-A during this struggle for gay
marriage? As we all know Dan Cathy made
the comments:
-"Guilty as charged,” When asked about his company’s support of
the traditional family unit as opposed to gay marriage.
-“We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition
of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and
we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that,” Cathy is also
quoted as saying.
-“We are very much committed to that,” Cathy emphasized. “We intend to
stay the course,” he said. “We know that it might not be popular with everyone,
but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and
operate on biblical principles.”

He has also said:
-“We don’t claim to be a Christian business,” Cathy told the Biblical
Recorder in a recent visit to North Carolina. He attended a business leadership
conference many years ago where he heard Christian businessman Fred Roach say,
“There is no such thing as a Christian business.”
And
-“In that spirit … [Christianity] is about a personal relationship.
Companies are not lost or saved, but certainly individuals are,” Cathy added.
“But as an organization we can operate on biblical principles. So that is what
we claim to be. [We are] based on biblical principles, asking God and pleading
with God to give us wisdom on decisions we make about people and the programs
and partnerships we have. And He has blessed us.”

It’s not every day that the leader of a big business steps into a
national debate that has the potential to offend many of its customers.
But Dan Cathy, president of the popular fast food chain Chick-fil-A,
has done just that, saying on a radio show that “we’re inviting God’s judgment
on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say we know better than you as
to what constitutes a marriage. And I pray God’s mercy on our generation that
has such a prideful, arrogant attitude that thinks we have the audacity to
redefine what marriage is all about.”

So why have Cathy’s comments caused such a stir? On the one hand, you
could argue leaders of businesses, particularly private, family-owned ones,
should be able to speak their minds. But when a business leader elects to take
a public and vocal position on a hot-button political issue in an election
year, he or she also risks losing the support of many of its customers. It is
one thing to be an organization that “operate[s] on biblical
principles”—staying closed on Sundays, making donations to groups it supports,
remaining debt-free. But it is quite another to imply that people who support
same-sex marriage—many of whom are surely customers—have a “prideful, arrogant
attitude.”

Upon further investigation (although his comments are only mildly
anti-gay), one will find that he donates millions of dollars a year to groups
with christian values. Innocent enough
you might say? Sure! they do in fact
actively attempt to help people with christian values keep their families
together, however, they have a more sinister side to them as well. They are out there pounding the pavement to
fight gays from getting married. It
doesn't stop there! They aim to
dehumanize homosexuals in the name of Jesus and raise the levels of hatred for
them to an all-time high!

With this being said, it is easy to understand why homosexuals and
those who actually support homosexuality would want to boycott (NOT ban)
Chick-Fil-A. They have just as much
legitimate right to boycott this company as Cathy has to speak his mind and
spend millions of dollars to ban and dehumanize homosexuals.

So why are people swarming to Chick-fil-A in Zombie apocalypse type
proportions?
Is it:
-To save Christianity
-Save their marriage
-Get rid of the gays
-It's Obama's fault
-Protecting free speech (as if that was being muzzled)
-To somehow get a "one up" on the liberals (agenda??)

Even if they do boost profits for this company, what do they actually
hope will be accomplished? Who knows . . . .? So here is the question I want to
ask. Whatever the reason is for people wanting
to eat at Chick-fil-A 12 times a day. . . . . .

How long will it be before these Chick-Fil-A zombies get burned out on
eating so much chicken and stop going altogether?

NEVER!!!!!+18This is the most ridiculous liberal crap ever. This franchise owner has never gotten out on the media and said anything about gays. His only statement is he believes marriage is between a man and a woman according to the Bible. Yet the gays have made something out of his statement to draw attention to their licentious desires. men on men and woman on woman. What a hoot. They want him to rescind his belief and believe as they do or they will punish him by protesting. Dumb as dirt. No one even cares what they do behind the closed doors yet they want to have a KISS IN in front of all the Chic fil a's ....liberal sh*t

Gays should be happy that they've gotten this far. They need quit while they're ahead.
I'll take KFC any day IF I do ANY chicken fried.
I have no problem with any ones orientation ...BUT BEHIND CLOSED DOORS PLEASE !
so ?????
A simple hug !
then there are morals involved in common sense !
so ?????
me i like nothing better than watching 2 lesbians have a make out session
so ?????
Obama said 1st caompaign that he was against same sex marriage, now he's for.
The media needs to leave well enough alone.
Liberals LOVE it only when conservatives talk about gays! How unfair!
This company employs 50,000 people - Why do homosexuals want them to be unemployed???
This makes no sense to me at all - the homosexuals have elevated hate to a religion.
