I am convinced that the terrorists were skilled and thoroughly trained, as it has been the case in many other atrocious attacks - remember Madrid 2004, the London Underground bombings in 2005, the 2011 Moscow bombings, WTC on Sept. 11, 2001 or the Munich Olympic Games in 1972, etc.
They cannot put all the blame on the police and the responsible authorities for lacking clairvoyance, as nobody can read the true thoughts of other people, and no democracy would acccept total control over everybody's private life.

Fair points. They have the intent and resolve and the authorities have to deal with countless threats everyday its easy for them to slip through the net. An 11 year old boy proved that yesterday when he walked onto a plane and flew to Italy with no documentation bypassing 4 levels of security.

    Thank you for your support.

Detractors blaming police and authorities are usually not those doing such jobs. We are all subject to mistakes and erroneous decisions.

Good that you reminded me of the 11 old boy having bypassed all the security levels of a low cost company. I saw it in the news yesterday (it is noon here) and had to smile.

This is the first I've heard of it. I've been out of the loop for about 5 days.
My guess is the terrorists are long gone by now?
If not hope they are caught!
