The conservative hate machine is accusing NBC News Anchor Brian Williams of bowing before President Obama. Toward the end of the Brian Williams White House Documentary, Williams is seen saying goodbye to President Obama and with what seems like an unconscious gesture, nods his head toward Obama. Do the Obama bashers make conservatives look bad when start a war with the "liberal media" over something petty like Brian Williams supposed "bow" to President Obama?

There is nothing too irrelevant for the Haters to turn into an excuse for another hate fest. First it was getting a dog (horrors!!) then it was planting a vegetable garden (oh the humanity!!!). They crucify him for taking his wife out to dinner "on the taxpayer dollar" but where were they when the Obamas spent $500,000 of their own money on White House redecorations even though there was a budget of "taxpayer money" for the job?

I think Brian Williams...

I think Brian Williams is an idiot...nevertheless I did notice something after my initial thoughts being critical of him. They are in a doorway...I myself often do a little bow and usually throw my hand out to say "you first" and that's common courtesy any American would do.

So I won't say the bashers are dead wrong because I think Williams is an idiot lol...but on this, I must now agree with those who say it was nothing and if you have never had someone do this to say you first almost by instinct, I'm sure someone has done it for you.

I think Brian Williams...

Bowing or nodding the head is a long practiced, formal gesture of greeting or saying goodbye. In George Washington's day they used this as a standard practice and all thru Victorian times in civilized places. Women curtsie and men bow. Standard for when meeting heads of state. So I fail to see the big deal.

It was a gesture of respect and more of a head nod than a bow. In business situations when someone shakes the hand with the president of a company they usually nod their head in exactly the same way as did Brian Williams. I would bet all Presidents of this country have been addressed in the same way at some time or another.

It's petty and childish, but it is the nature of politics. Their candidate didn't win the election, therefore they are going to pick at inconsequential details to satisfy themselves.

I doubt it would be too much different if the tables were turned.

Many people and the news media are so far very grateful for the job that Mr.Obama is trying to do.The Presidency is an enormous taskin this day & age.They are just so grateful that he is trying so hard to succeed so far and that he is striving for a higher level of diplomacy than we have seen in many many years.If he did bow subconsciously, it was to acknowlege these general things.All in all ,he was just being polite.
