Imagine having to live down the fact that you had two mothers!

School children will torment that kid unmercifully.

Isn't science wonderful. People who wanted children but couldn't now have a chance of having a child of their own. That's great. Now we need a cure for cancer.

A)This is not breaking news, it has been known for quite some time now
    B) The babies are in no way shape or form genetically manipulated
    C) Let me try to explain this for you.
Mitochondria (the organelles in your cells that create energy) are only passed down by women, as the egg holds the mitochondrial DNA and the sperm loses all of it's mitochondria when it enters the egg
Some women have very faulty mitochondria, and if they pass down their mitochondria the child will also have that faulty mitochondria
What they do is take the fertilized egg from a mother with the faulty mitochondria, take out the faulty mitochondria, and put it with non-faulty mitochondria from a separate woman's egg.
No different that in-vitro fertilization, the DNA and genes for that child is only from TWO parents, while the mitochondria is donated
It is no different than a patient who has had an organ removed (ie heart, liver, kidney) and replaced with an organ from a donor. In fact the person with the donor organ (kidney, heart, liver, etc.) technically has the DNA from FOUR parents. Are you against organ transplants then as well?

Ethics and morality have long been obsolete in the US. It all started when we had to be politically correct and stopped being right.

Ethics and morality are not absolute things. Just ask the Muslims.

How would school kids know about this? And, why would a genetically engineered President -in-the-future be born in Hawaii, as opposed to California, New York, Massachusetts, or any other state?

Technology has greatly EXPANDED the need for ethics and morality. Makes me think of one of my favorite movies "Gattaca", starring Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, and Jude Law which deals with genetic engineering. Not to give away the plot, but all those people who are NOT genetically engineered are lumped into the category of INVALID. A very scary look into the not too distant future, especially if ethics and morality continue to be ignored as they are today with the issue of abortion.

You're, of course, referring to YOUR ethics and morality, right? Perhaps you can tell me the "righteous" ethics and morality stance I should have in regard to contraception, in vitro fertilization, the death penalty, and a host of other ethical issues. Or is there a book I can reference?

But then, I've read wherein that stuff like this was prophesied in the Good Book in not so many words.

Isn't it ironic how "Progressives" discourage freedom in most areas except those which serve their globalist schemes?

I can see the handwriting on the wall: The New World Order will create a future U.S. president with genes pooled from "parents" from every nation around the world in a laboratory in England, then apply for a birth certificate from Hawaii as though the artificially engineered quasi-human baby had been born in Hawaii.
