Actually Clinton was impeached only not convicted, they knew full well the votes weren't there for a conviction but went ahead and did it any way strictly for political gain. This illegal maneuver (of selling guns, undercover to known Mexican Cartel members) by the DOJ was primarily enacted in order to place a level of Government control over the sale of guns against the precepts of the 2nd Amendment. Today, it has been announced that Gun retailers in states along the Mexican border will face new Federal reporting rules. These rules are being implemented as a reaction to DOJ actions that resulted in Federal Agents being killed with the weapons they sold to the Cartels. It is a simple matter that the nation as a whole would be in an uproar if these increased levels of reporting were applied nationwide, but if this level of excessive intervention in the normal processes of legal commerce were to be applied to just a few states within a reaction to a problem the Government created itself, then they, the Government, feels they have all the right to do so! If the DOJ and Eric Holder knew ... Barack Obama knew. Afterall, Eric Holder is just Barack Obama wearing a greying hair skullcap and a mustache, right?
