BONERGATE! Why did John Boenher lie about the MEMO? ?

Referring to yet another sleazy republican trick, a forgery made up by Politico that House Minority Leader John Boehner referred to in several speeches and interviews.
What is it?
A fake document that was made to look like a top secret correspondence used by insider Democrats to remind each other to hide the details of hundreds of billions of dollars in health care reform costs from the CBO report..
The Drudge Report featured the fake as a genuine without any diligence , they did not even try to authenticate it, and after it was found to be a fake and a lie the Drudge Report forgot / refused to admit its mistake to its readers or even retract the original article it wrote.
They simply decided to let the lie stand.
