FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE I.Q. CHALLENGED - The blog question above is regarding the 'backlash' of terrorism on AMERICA - not whether or not the killing actually HAPPENED - please stay on subject!

Bin Laden Not totally behind terrorism in America and Europe - Al Queda hugely responsible....Is America ready for the backlash and retaliation for Bin Laden's death? Will Obama cave??

It's one of the first things I thought of when I found out he was dead. I still would like though to have confirmation such as DNA. I saw a picture on another poll that is supposedly of his head. Sort of looked like him.

I do fear what will happen next. I wouldn't put it past the people who surrounded him to have orders to attack if something should happen to him. There are just so many things right now that it's hard to grip what's really going on here without complete confirmation.

I hope we're ready if it comes to that.

LOL! They blamed Bush for bin Laden's death years ago. Remember? They said bin Laden was already dead, was dead with the first strike and Bush wouldn't admit it because then he would have to pull out of Iraq.

That's exactly why I asked the other pollster if it was a real picture. I saw it in Google images but thought, no way would it already be on there. He put the picture up on his poll in a comment to me and when I asked him if it was real he said it was a scan from an image taken of a television on the news over there. (Al Jazeera - sp?)

'Marie' you can't defeat an enemy by being fearful of a probable retaliation,it is what it is and this is war I don't know if we can ever be completely safe from attacks of terrorism,probably not,we just need to be a little more vigilant ,but not fearful.The DNA was confirmed ,that's why the announcement was delayed.What a great day!

I read that they did a preliminary DNA match to his relatives and it is 90%+ certain. I haven't seen the photo - can you tell me where it is?

Thanks - that's probably a cell-phone photo some sailor on the carrier where they took his body took. They are discussing now whether to release the official photos of the body -- I think they should, otherwise we are going to be dealing with "conspiracy" theories from now on!

O dear LF is another 9/11 conspiracy nut - I tend to have no problem knowing what is real / my brother had an office in the east tower and a desk at the pentagon ...thank god he retired one week before 9/11 (after spending 15 years under cover in Afghanistan with the FBI-US Army CID )
