I love Bill Maher. I don't always agree with him but he's funny. And thanks for the heads up that the show is up and running again.. I'll have to go look for it.. this election season will be a lot more fun watching Bill and Stephen Colbert and John Stewart. SNL has gotten a bit stale the last year or so.

Is it at all possible that you just don't like his message and that's why you don't think he's funny? I find him funny. I loved his movie Religulous.

Sometimes it can be hard to see the humor in things that hit a bit too close to home.

I'd happily say I have a warped sense of humor.. I love Monty Python and Robin Williams and the Doctor Demento Show. I love Weird Al and George Carlin and Penn & Teller. I love Blackadder and The old TV version of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.

Damn straight I have a warped sense of humor.. you have to to live in our times and not go nuts.

You are doing that anyway by giving it to the rich, who don't need it! The reason the Nuns on a bus are wanting Romney and Ryan to tour with them is so that they can show them that those on food stamps and workfare work very hard for what they need. These people are not lazy couch potatoes.

in what way do you think I give what I earn to the rich... I pay taxes, make less than 40k(gross not net) a year am a small business owner have 1 employee... my tax money is being use to allow OTHER people to buy milk, cheese, bread, eggs, smokes and alcohol when I can't even afford to buy those things without careful planning (the last to I never actually buy). The rich are not taking my money they are simply smart enough to know how to hold on to their own and believe me I do everything I can to hold on to as much of my own as possible.
And no not all of them are lazy my second part time job I work witha woman who is a single mother with 1 child and one on teh way she works her ass off makes less a year than I do and has to fight every single buerocrate to get basic aide that dosent even cover her children. I personnaly would rather keep my money, let her keep her money and when I can help her out myself by buying her formula or diapers so she can get by a little better.... but no government wants to take my money that I earned and waste it feeding people who have been on teh welfare system for GENERATIONS...

Your money is being used more to subsidize mega-corporations and more and more tax cuts for the wealthiest 2% of Americans. Only about 14 cents a week is taken out of the taxes you pay to feed and clothe the poor. 70% of your taxes go to funding the military whose budget both Romney and Ryan want to increase (that means more money out of your pocket, especially when the Romney plan wants to cut taxes further for the wealthiest 2% and mega-corporations.) The rest goes to fund our infrastructure and all the things you take for granted. Social Security, Medicare, Unemployment, and Medicaid are separate insurance funds that you will one day need to collect from, they are not taxes, (as individualist Ayn Rand, Paul Ryan's hero, found out when all her harping about cigarettes causing cancer being nothing but "a leftist conspiracy theory", found herself with lung cancer and having to depend on Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security).

The ones that big oil take I as a small business own take as well the difference is taht when I get a 52% deducation on the small amount I make it makes very little difference when mega corportaions get that 52% back they can 1) expand 2) devlope 3) cheapen cost to consumers....
ONLY 54% of tax money goes to teh military and its broken down 18% supports PAST military (vets and their needs as well as dependants) and 36% support current military this info can be found in the "Budget of the US Goverment Fiscal year 2009 (oh and its 2009 because teh dems wont pass a budget)

in only 8 months barry manage to blow away all the money. get real. not saying bush did everything right but we did have jobs and was able to have our houses and buy what we wanted at the grocery store. now you are lucky to buy enough to last two weeks. and it;s getting worse.
