we will be seeing a rise in shooting deaths. I cannot believe in this day and age we are allowed to carry a gun. unbelievable. - that means alot of people have guns that shouldn't...get rid of them..

The whole purpose of a Neighborhood Watch is to WATCH. If you see something not quite right in your neighborhood, you report it to the authorities. The police are paid to patrol, investigate, ascertain if suspicions are justified, detain, arrest & all the other aspects of law enforcement.

Just like Bill said... If your going to be a part of a neighborhood, then report it and get out of the way!

Of course the issue is about who should be allowed to possess and carry a weapon. Persons of unstable mental capacity, sociopaths, paranoids, and others with obvious
mental deficiencies should not be permitted to own guns or other weapons. All guns
can kill a human. They are "fanciful" weapons in the minds of far too many, such as
those who post their loony stories here on SH of their dreams of being "patriots" and
"revolutionaries", and defending against "them", all the fictional enemies created in their
dangerous minds.

i can see that it takes a soldier to shoot a weapon re a gun at another individual and that the gun does not shoot itself.....he could have used his hands.....a gun intimidates those who do not have them

you bring up an excellent point re the children...and where do they learn those behaviors or thoughts...is it learned behavior from adults? media? or do they realize that guns kill even thought they might be oblivious as to who is pulling the trigger.....

Obviously, guns are weapons with which to kill other humans. I have one or two within ten feet of me at this moment. If I wished to kill someone I certainly wouldn't take my golf club or a skillet and attempt to do the act. Particular guns are especially desgned for the purposes of killing another human. Such weapons now account for approximately 90% of all weapons sold in the U.S. Hunting and target weapons are hardly worth producing any more as they sell so few and so many are available in the second-hand markets.

We in the U.S. treat shooting humans as a game, a lustful exaggeration to fill the hours of television and a million "video games" by which our children are taught to disregard the value of human life and use a gun to "have fun". It is no wonder at all that rather stupid sorts and mentally deficients buy a real one and ride around the streets looking for someone to shoot - it's a "game" after all.
