When my son's friend died in Afghanistan, the WBCs showed up to picket his funeral and b/c the city knew of their intentions in advance, it was widely publicized and thousands of people showed up in support of Sterling's family and effectively blocked out the member's of that church. The Freedom Riders also showed up and revved their engines near the protestors. Sterling's mom said that she never heard them.

Seems to be something we can mostly ALL agree on. That group that call themselves a church are despicable, whatever their motives are. Kudos to the bikers, for being there just in case the scum showed up.

Asa Christian of the Baptist variety - this group sickens me. Twisted and warp theology aside - they need to worry about dealing with sin in their own midst. As the Apostle Paul says, "judge from within" "let God judge" those outside the faith (1 Cor 5:11-13).

Fred Phelps shoots right to the top of the dead pool list. Any bets on when we'll get to protest his funeral?

The WBC should be stopped before they can get near the families. Regardless of politics or faith, grieving families should be left alone.

Decency doesn't come with a label or a category of people... it can be all people if they look beyond themselves. Kudos bikers, shame on you Westboro.

while i cant argue with their right to protest...i cant argue with the bikers wanting to kick their ass...its amazing how religion always brings out the worst in people....especially when they are already crazy

Why in the world would this group want to bother these grieving families? The bikers were right for keeping them away.

Perhaps it is time for an old fashioned dungaree liberty party. That's where a large number of people gather and display their disdain for an offending facility, Westboro Baptist Church compound, by leaving no two pieces of wood fastened together nor anything functioning. Those who have hosted such a party in the past always get the hint and cease their offending activities.

The WBC are anti-American terrorists, who like our politicians, never let a good crisis go to waste by using every available death as a platform for their twisted agenda.

Code Pink and the so called Church in question are TIED TO Obama.

First Lady Michelle Obama, accepting an anti-war petition at a fundraiser in San Francisco , told the CodePink member who presented her with 20,000 signatures, ”Keep up the great work,” the organization’s co-founders say

The only question that interests me about WBC is whether they are a bit nutty or plain downright psychotic. I suspect the latter.

The bikers are heroes. The Westboro nuts aren't really a church. No denomination will have them.
Most of them are interrelated. They are nothing but a family of homophobic troublemakers, that get too much media coverage.
Wold it be worth their efforts if they never saw themselves in the papers or on TV?

God does not kill children and never did, every time evil happens God gets blamed when in reality He is not the evil and never was. We need to look at who is evil and who would do evil. Bless these people for showing how God really works.

I had to stop watching the video because that woman is pure evil and is the devil in disguise with her hate, and should not have even been given a platform to spew her hate.. I realize it was the host's intentions to show her and her "church" as the hateful, radical, intolerant people they are, but this "church" USES tragedies like that of Sandy Hook to spew their despicable hate ONLY to get on the MEDIA for their "15 minutes" KNOWING it will get them air time to spew their hate THINKING it will convince the crazy nuts like them to join their "church".

If you're as appallingly disrespectful as WBC, then you shouldn't be surprised when someone gives you a taste of your own medicine. I'm still laughing at Anonymous's takedown.

That human chain is like saying that rights to be spoken and heard only go as far as they don't interfere with others' rights...life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and all. Mourning is certainly a part of life and it's a right that goes very deep.

The next time WESTBORO does anything, they should just be completely ignored ! Like the silent treatment, in grammar school. No media, no yelling back at them, just ignored, like when you pretend not to hear homeless people asking you for spare change. These sick people get some kind of perverse satisfaction from the attention, I guarantee it, you want to hit WESTBORO where it hurts ? IGNORE THEM ! Their entire scheme is to provoke and SUE if you touch them ! Been hip to that game a long time ago.

what you say makes sense but kind of hard to ignore that. apparently, they are starved for attention, even negative attention
