Biden suggests White House could act without Congress as part of gun control plan. Is this a good idea or bad idea?

A very bad idea by Obama. Besides, Congress can just ignore an executive order since it is not enforceable.

I think it was harder to tell it to the families of 20 children in Newtown, Connecticut. For that reason I propose that all military assault weapons such those used on those officers be banned! I agree with General McChrystal when he said:

You drummernoy are a nut! And you dare to use the icon of my Marine a Corps as your avatar while talking insurrection! Did you not listen to General McChrystal? Did you not train with the M-16? That weapon does not belong in the hands of civilians! If this nation ever does fall into tyrannical hands then we have bigger problems then a lack of weapons and ARs and AKs will not help us. I assume you are a Marine. Then you know how long we train with those weapons to make them a part of our self. If anyone is adding kindle to the fire it's people like you who would rather see the nation go to hell than accept the fact that Barack Hussein Obama is the president and he is brave enough to take head on issues that have plagued us for years.

That's the problem with the CONSERVATIVES, you never mature, you can't walk and chew gum at the same time, every topic evolves as participants use their reasoning and analytical skills. If weren't for minds going off topic we would still be riding in horses and buggies but I guess CONSERVATIVES would be okay with conserving that too.

Actually you're wrong, most sidearms are designed for defense and not for assaults and most long guns are also designed for defense. Automatic weapons and those same weapons modified for semi-automatic capability are for assaults.

Actually a lot of people care about McChrystal's point of view. If you are a Marine, and I assume you are by your avatar, then you know the damage that the weapon we trained with does to the body. For a hunter that type of wound destroys about a fourth of their meat and if someone is breaking into your house a shotgun is what you need. High capacity magazines are essential to the effectiveness of a mass murderer like the ones in Connecticut, Arizona, and Colorado.

Hello???? What kind of question is this? You really won't recognize this country if he was to try anything like that, and he better get in his bunker before the ink is dry. We the American people want the world to know that we stand by the 2nd amendment and will not allow any usurper of tyrannical government even try to take one more of our rights away. Anyone with half a brain can see this is their way to start a war against it's own people so they can take the country into the New World Order.
