Why did Ambassador Stevens (pictured) have to die? We now know that real-time e-mails, and even real-time video, clearly shows that the White House knew, or should have known, that the Benghazi attack was a terrorist hit.
But now a Tea Party activist says that it strains credulity even to suppose that Obama just didn't want his sweetness-and-light narrative blown away, and that's why he blamed it on a video.
Well, I once suggested that the idea was to kidnap, not kill, Ambassador Stevens, and then stage a daring raid to get him back. Like something out of a Jack Ryan movie.
Here's a new theory: Ambassador Stevens was set up for a kidnap, all right. Only it was a set-up to release Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman, better known as The Blind Sheikh.
It was the perfect set-up. The local militia was supposed to skedaddle. Only the planners slipped up. They didn't know that three men would be on the scene who knew how to fight. They fought. So the thugs fought back, harder. And killed them all.
Speculation? Sure it is. But the White House narrative makes zero sense. And the theory that the White House just wanted to protect the broader narrative about how much they now "love" us doesn't make much more sense. Or at least, not enough.
So why do *you* think the Ambassador ended up dying?

I find it fascinating that as of now, not a single person on this poll believes it had anything to do with the video.
The fact that someone somewhere in our government WATCHED THOSE MEN DIE with our special forces sitting an hour away at Aviano Italy makes me sick. He WENT TO BED. I repeat our commander in cheif WENT TO BED with no order to retaliate.
LOOK at the signs at the Cairo protest on the FIRST day..There are NONE complaining about a video.. The signs had Osama bin Ladi's picture on them and the words,, "We are 1.6 BILLION Osamas strong and we're all calling for Death to America"..
The Secretary ot State was out there blamming h Video EVEN as the State Department said that they NEVER said that to her OR Obama..
The Intelligence agencies are PROVING that they informed Obama that THIS was a TERRORIST'S attack even as Obama was out there blamming a Video..

We were arming the rebels in Libya. The rebels are at least in part Al Quada.
We could have handled it on the spot. We had troops an hour away....
We armed the Libyan rebels last year duing the Libyan civil war to oust Libyan dictator Muammar al-Gaddafi from power. The country today is still awash with these weapons and other weapons from other suppliers.

It's logistically impossible for any of our forces to make it to Libya from Europe to stop the attack in Benghazi, Libya. Besides, our forces serve under the NATO command and we would need clearance from NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium to even undertake such a mission, as it falls outside of the responsibilities of the NATO Charter.

Our forces cannot be anywhere and everywhere whenever a US diplomatic mission is being attacked somewhere in the world.
