Once you accept a supernatural explanation you stop looking for plausible alternatives, that is the failure of believing in the supernatural and why it is the epitome of close minded. I can remain open to the supernatural without accepting it or believing it. Once the supernatural is proven, it will no longer be supernatural, it will be science. Why not wait for that day with an open mind?

I don't know who is believing in only what they can see (your straw-man). We skeptics believe in what has a proven track record and repeatable evidence. If we believed only what we see, we would think the Sun went around the Earth.

Instead of looking for an answer with evidence, you are are going to stop looking and just say it's supernatural? Sounds like the epitome of close-minded to me.

you can look for an answer. but if you cant find any then you can think its supernatural. That what a lot of supernatural teams do. the look for plausible reason.

We used to think that if someone got sick it was due to supernatural causes. That's what the bible says too. If we had stuck with that then the average lifespan would still be less then 40.

I do think that sometimes people can be sick from entities. Most of the times no. But I do think it can happen. To me it seems more close minded to say "that cant happen" "this cant happen". I do believe in ghost to. And I dont think that makes me close minded.

But that is not what im talking about. Plenty of people look for more rational answers. I dont know anybody or ever met any who thought everything that happens is supernatural. like "oh you drawn a happy face" a person come up and says "you were possessed by a spirit" or someone spills milk "oh a demon did it". I never ever seen any of that happen. Honestly I dont think that person is close minded, just a bit ignorant. they were probably raised in a surrounding where everything was suspected to be supernatural so they suspect it to be supernatural to.
