Today, the Houston Chronicle showed young people applying for work permits. According to that article, that permit will be good for two years, after which it must be renewed. It also clearly pointed out that this is NO PATH TO CITIZENSHIP.

So, in effect, it says "to hell with our own 22 million unemployed citizens for the next two years." Meanwhile it will attract a never-ending stream of illegals coming to take advantage of that two-year permit, so that those who apply later will replace the ones whose permits expired.

There are many people living in the US who have been here for years and years. One that made the news was a 23 year old man attending college in Boston. He never knew he was born overseas, he was brought here by his parents at the age of 3 and had no knowledge of being 'illegal'. And they were seeking to deport him back to Iraq, I believe it was. I have a neighbor who was brought here when she was 5. Both her boys were US Marines with honorable service. She worked for 20 years for a defense contractor.

There are many, many people here that have been your neighbors and friends that you may not be aware of their 'legal standing'. We are a nation of immigrants. If they have lived and worked in this country they're living as productive citizens - and I ay more power to them. The drunks and druggies of our own aren't worth that much.

I, in no way, wish to give any impression I'm defending these individuals or their ilk. If you notice, I was addressing an entirely different demographic that I felt appropriate for this program.

P.S. I cannot reconcile being friends with someone not a friend of America, so I removed you from my SodaHead friends list. You are free to post on my topics. I won't block anyone for mere difference of opinion. But I wouldn't want anyone to get the false impression, assuming "birds of a feather" that I too have a cavalier attitude about my nation's sovereignty and its borders.

Perhaps there in Europe where you live, the Euro-Union pattern of globalism has etched its agenda into your soul. But "We the People" of my country still stand firm against the New World Order, even if many of our politicians are selling out America, as you would have them do.

I am a resident of NH...and have stated so many, many times. To be a resident of the Vatican, especially the Holy See would mean I am either a Cardinal or the Pope, I assure you, I am neither. I chose that as a joke for just that reason.

Okay, as to explaining your residency. But it's a no-brainer that it will only serve to attract more job-stealing illegals here by giving them amnesty, work permits and college at taxpayer expense. So you unwittingly serve to attack America's sovereignty and borders by attracting as many job-stealing illegals as possible.

The ONLY way we can get rid of them is NOT by catering to them, or making excuses for them as you do, but by MAKING THINGS AS TOUGH AS POSSIBLE on them, so they will self-deport back to Mexico, etc. at their own expense.

Then I ws in the military for 24 years and I too moved about. Maybe I'm different but it is true. My husband and many friends have come here legally and they contribute to American society. These people do not. They started out illegal and they will remain that way until forced to do it the RIGHT way.
