BATF Seeks Ban on “Military” Shotguns: Over 5 Rounds?

~ The Rebel ~ 2012/05/28 15:06:46

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is inviting public comments on its new rule regarding shotguns. It plans to ban them.

There will be a ban on imports. (Note: watch prices rise on those already in the USA.)

The basis of this ban will be the guns’ semi-automatic status. It the magazine has more than five rounds, the weapon will be banned.

Why? Because the BATF designates these as “military.”

Somehow, I cannot see Sergeant York with a 7-round shotgun taking on the Germans.

Gen. George Patton wore ivory-handled revolvers. I wonder if these are scheduled for a ban.

The guns must be used in sport, only.

The ATF has long held this idiotic Sporting Purposes rule over imported guns.

It's a relic from the days when they decided the 2nd amendment only applies to National Guard.

So every gun needs to be suitable for shooting sports of some type.

The most asinine thing about this concept is they refuse to accept Practical Shooting Competitions (which are the fastest growing and most attended shooting competitions) as sport.

They do this specifically because the guns they want to ban are the ones most used in those sports.

For us, not for them. They want superior fire power.

Prohibition of anything has only served to make whatever is made illegal go underground...Does anyone in American law enforcement actually read American history about the first time they tried something like prohibition? lol

Step by step. Inch by inch. They chip away at the 2nd Amendment until there's precious little left... then they move on to other Rights that prevent this Administration from doing whatever it sees as it's vision to change America into entirely something else.
