Barry and Michelle's Excellent Marxist Venture --

Boot Camps For Radicals

Posted 09/05/2008 09:54 PM ET

Election '08: Democrats'
reintroduction of militant Michelle Obama in Denver was supposed to show
her softer side. But it only highlighted a radical part of her resume:
Public Allies.

Barack Obama was a founding member of the board of Public Allies in
1992, resigning before his wife became executive director of the Chicago
chapter of Public Allies in 1993.

Obama plans to use the nonprofit group, which he features on his
[2008]campaign Web site, as the model for a national service corps. He calls
his Orwellian program, "Universal Voluntary Public Service." [Didn't
anyone bother to teach Barry that "universal" and "voluntary" don't
really go together all that well? That is, unless your "universal day
care" and "universal pre-school" have been successful enough to ensure
that we have "universally" compliant young "citizens." Welcome to "1984" in the 21st century.]

Big Brother had nothing on the Obamas. They plan to herd American
youth into government-funded reeducation camps where they'll be
brainwashed into thinking America is a racist, oppressive place in need
of "social change."

The pitch Public Allies makes on its Web site doesn't seem all that
radical. It promises to place young adults (18-30) in paid one-year
"community leadership" positions with nonprofit or government agencies.

They'll also be required to attend weekly training workshops and three
retreats. [Not that radical, maybe, but note the
emphasis on "nonprofit" and/or "government" agencies -- nothing about
the nasty, greedy capitalistic "free market" that provides the funds to
keep the other two going. This isn't surprising inasmuch as Barry
wrote in "Dreams From My father" that during his very brief sojourn into the realm of the free-market, he felt like "a spy behind enemy lines."

In exchange, they'll get a monthly stipend of up to $1,800, plus paid
health and child care. They also get a post-service education award of
$4,725 that can be used to pay off past student loans or fund future
education.

But its real mission is to radicalize American youth and use them to
bring about "social change" through threats, pressure, tension and
confrontation — the tactics used by the father of community organizing,
Saul "The Red" Alinsky.

"Our alumni are more than twice as likely as 18-34 year olds to ... engage in protest activities," Public Allies boasts in a document
found with its tax filings. It has already deployed an army of 2,200
community organizers like Obama to agitate for "justice" and "equality"
in his hometown of Chicago and other U.S. cities, including Cincinnati,
Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New York, Phoenix, Pittsburgh and Washington. "I
get to practice being an activist,"
and get paid for it, gushed
Cincinnati recruit Amy Vincent.

Public Allies promotes "diversity and inclusion," a program paper
says. More than 70% of its recruits are "people of color." When they're
not protesting, they're staffing AIDS clinics, handing out condoms,
bailing criminals out of jail and helping illegal aliens and the
homeless obtain food stamps and other welfare.

Public Allies brags that more than 80% of graduates have continued
working in nonprofit or government jobs. It's training the "next
generation of nonprofit leaders" — future "social entrepreneurs."
["Social
entrepreneurs" -- Now there's an oxymoron if there ever was one,
inasmuch as the general definition of "entrepreneur" is a person who
organizes and operates a business for the purpose of making a profit,
and takes on financial risk in doing so! What are they describing,
profitable nonprofits?]

The Obamas discourage work in the private sector. "Don't go into
corporate America,"
Michelle has exhorted youth. "Work for the
community. Be social workers." Shun the "money culture,"
Barack added.
"Individual salvation depends on collective salvation." [As
you read this, can anyone come up with a better description of the aims
of Marxist collectivism than Barry's "individual salvation depends on
collective salvation"?]

"If you commit to serving your community," he pledged in his Denver
acceptance speech,
"we will make sure you can afford a college
education."
So, go through government to go to college, and then go back
into government.

Many of today's youth find the pitch attractive. "I may spend the
rest of my life trying to create social movement,"
said Brian Coovert of
the Cincinnati chapter. "There is always going to be work to do. Until we have a perfect country, I'll have a job."

[The question left unasked was "Who defines our 'perfect country'?"]

Not all the recruits appreciate the PC indoctrination. "It was too
touchy-feely,"
said Nelly Nieblas, 29, of the 2005 Los Angeles class. "It's a lot of talk about race, a lot of talk about sexism, a lot of talk about homophobia, talk about -isms and phobias."

One of those -isms is "heterosexism," which a Public Allies training
seminar in Chicago describes as a negative byproduct of "capitalism,
white supremacy, patriarchy and male-dominated privilege.
"[Aha! That evil cabal, headed by capitalism, rears its ugly head once more!]

The government now funds about half of Public Allies' expenses
through Clinton's AmeriCorps. Obama wants to fully fund it and expand it
into a national program that some see costing $500 billion.
"We've got
to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just
as strong, just as well-funded"
as the military, he said. [Isn't
that just peachy? Obama had the taxpayers on the hook for half of the
funding of a school that's training "activists" to tear down the
capitalistic free-market system that has made this country great, and as
president wants the government to fully fund it!]

The gall of it: The Obamas want to create a boot camp for radicals
who hate the military — and stick American taxpayers with the bill.

Comment:
Lest you fear that Public Allies has fallen by the wayside with Obama's
election to the presidency, have no fear, its still in business
churning out its Marxist entrepreneurs on the public dime, with offices
in Chicago, Milwaukee, New York, Los Angeles and 17 other cities across
the nation, according to their website. This is not ancient history, it
is happening NOW!

This Marxist crap is BS? Obama's father was a Marxist; Obama's mother was known as a "fellow traveler" which meant she wasn't a member of the communist party but favored them; Obama's "mentor" he named in his book, "Dream From My Father," Frank Marshall Davis, was a card-carrying member of the Communist Party at a time when they took their orders from Moscow; Obama admitted in his book that when he went to college he "sought out" the most radical friends and professors he could find; Obama says the best education he got, ever, was his training in radical Saul Alinsky's tactics as a "community organizer"; he announced his candidacy for the first elective office he ran for in the home of radical terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dorn; the woman he replaced in the Illinois Senate and who endorsed him, Alice Palmer, was a Communist who attended the 1986 Soviet Union Congress in Moscow,. Finally, he ran on the "New Party" ticket in Chicago - the New Party being the "new" name of the local socialist party!

No other president has ever appointed self-proclaimed socialists and communists to high positions in their administrations -- Barack Obama has appointed several, including Van Jones, Carol Browner, John Holdren, Cass Sunstein, Ron Bloom, Anita Dunn and a host of others.

Not from Glenn Beck, directly from his own book, Dreams From My Father, and his own words on other occasions. You did read Dreams From My Father, didn't you? You did notice the news clips where the New Party claimed Barack Obama as one of their own, didn't you? You can google the names and find the whole sordid story for yourself, but my guess is that you are comfortable in your ignorance because it allows you to call those with whom you disagree name "wacky" and other names. Guilt-by-association is a police-state tactic.

I await empirical evidence, instead of specious speculation, that Obama wants to eliminate capitalism by moving to that extreme. To say Obama advocates the goal of socialism, based upon his movement on the spectrum instead of being based on his explicit advocacy, is to create a straw man. It is intellectually dishonest and unworthy of serious debate.

I've given you all the evidence a rational person would need to conclude that Barack Obama is indeed a Marxist, short of a confession. Real evidence in a court of law is usually by circumstantial evidence and the logical inferences to be drawn from that evidence. The circumstantial evidence that Barack Obama is a Marxist is overwhelming, and any jury of his peers would convict him, if being a Marixst were a crime (which it is not.).

Obama, Sr. divorced Obama II's mother and moved through the U.S., remarrying and moving back to Kenya, where he made a mess of himself. Obama II's mother remarried Lolo Soreto and moved to Jakharta, Indonesia. She found him to be too conservative and favoring the government. Consequently, she divorced him, staying in the area though, but sent Obama II back to her parents to raise in Honolulu. Her father's influence included Frank Marshall Davis ...

... and opened up a path toward William Ayers and Jerimiah Wright, plus two others in the Chicago area. This path of influence perhaps helps explain what makes Obama II really "tick" and the dangers of it.

It does. Frank Marshall Davis is named by Obama in "Dreams From My Father" as his "mentor" while he was a teen in Hawaii. Davis was a card-carrying member of the Communist Party USA, at a time when they took their marching orders from Moscow. It doesn't get much more "radical" than that.

    Ken
Get a life! "Outside agitator" means an entirely differenct thing to a radical Marxist than to the run-of-the-mill politician -- you are the one who doesn't understand "metaphors" if you actually don't have a clue as to what Saul Alinsky was talking about. Communists have used "agitators" inside the labor movement since the 1930s to take control of them.

You are doing what all leftists do because they are on the losing end of every logical discussion, you revert to name-calling and attempts to ridicule. It doesn't work anymore cjet because everyone is on to you. The fact is that Communists have always used "agitators" to stir up discontent and take control, and that is exactly the training the Obama himself has called "the best training I ever got, anywhere", and that included his Harvard law degree.
  • cjet Ken 2012/03/25 05:47:17 (edited)

LOL. I'm actually the rational one in this little discussion. This isn't a "debate". You can't even point to any real information on anything. Everything has been, blogs, Youtube to blogs, rightwing news sites and conjecture on your part. I'm not going to waste my time throwing up real info to every BS line you write just for you to say "I don't believe it". I've been down that road too many times with you Cons. I'm actually having a discussion with another rightwinger with him saying "there is no such thing as the rightwing". ????? Your friend Angela doesn't even rermember the things she said just a few days ago. I'm talking to one Con who says Bin Laden is dead in one line and he isn't in the next. One Con who thinks Obama may be the anti-Christ And you with Saul Alinsky....... Again.
Put it this way, you're the least of the wacky.
No, I said my part and now it's on YOU to prove me wrong. You can't because all of what you have been saying have false narratives. Are you going to show me another rightwing youtube video now? Please.

The IBD editorial is full of facts - do you dispute any of the facts on which the opinion is based? Do you dispute that the Communist Party USA used "agitators" to gain control of labor unions? And by the way, do you dispute that the guy Obama named only as "Frank", his "mentor" as a teen in Hawaii, was Frank Marshall Davis, a card-carrying member of the Communist Party? Have you even read Obama's books, especially "Dreams From My Father?"

Nothing was taken out of context - Obama is the one who identified "Frank" as his "mentor" as a teen in Hawaii. It was a Chicago reporter who discovered that "Frank" was Frank Marshall Davis, a card-carrying Communist.
The truth seems to matter little to you, you are the one who is a "wacko conspiracy type" - the kind who continues to support Barack Obama despite his obvious Marxist beliefs and attempts to "fundamentally transform" this nation.

Nobody said, certainly not IBD, that Obama is a terrorist, but the evidence points to the inescapable conclusion that he is a Marxist, and that evidence comes from his own written and spoken words, acts and associations!

'Obama can't being an extreme leftist while following right wing politics." Are you serious? Obama has left the Patriot Act in effect, thus he is "following right wing politics?" Need I remind you that most of the Democrats voted for the Patriot Act when it was first passed, and they also voted for its renewal. Don't you think that maybe, maybe, they also want to keep this country safe?
  • cjet Ken 2012/04/09 22:01:07
    cjet
The Patriot Act is a left wing idea? YOU can't be serious. The act was written by a conservative, introduced and sponsored by conservatives, and signed into law by a conservative....... and signed again by a conservative. Yes, Democrats were on board at the time and I am disappointed in Obama for signing during his presidency, but the key backers of the bill were conservatives, don't twist the facts. I don't have memory loss. When liberals were criticizing the bill they were called anti-American. Conservatives at the time where falling right in line with it.
Matter of fact you're not making any sense. On one hand you're criticizing Obama for being a "Marxist",then you give him credit for signing the Patriot act in order to keep us safe? You talk about how Obama is an extremist, but you support a law that gives much more control to the government? Put it this way, I've never the law being called Marxist, but I have heard it being called Fascist. If anything, you should be calling conservatives extremists for the patriot act.
  • Ken cjet 2012/04/10 00:14:08

Read what I said, and don't try to put words in my mouth.

I said "Obama has left the Patriot Act in effect, thus he is "following right wing politics?" Need I remind you that most of the Democrats voted for the Patriot Act when it was first passed, and they also voted for its renewal."

I also gave them credit for wanting to keep the nation safe. That has nothing to do with the type of economic system which Obama favors, which is clearly Marxism in one form or another. If I should be calling conservatives extremists for the Patriot Act, why wouldn't that include Barack Obama and every Democrat who also voted for it?
