Barack Obama will be the GREATEST PRESIDENT since Roosevelt.

SmittenKitten 2011/08/27 00:45:51
I know that there might be a few out there that will disagree, but I bet the majority of you agree, President Obama will be the greatest President since President Roosevelt.

We already know that more jobs are created during Democratic administrations than during Republican administrations, over twice as many for every year in office.

We know that no Democratic President has left office with a higher unemployment number than when he went into office. Only one Republican President accomplished that feat.

The question is why would any working American vote Republican when their job numbers are so bad. I hope someone can explain why the Republicans have not out-performed the Democrats when it comes to employing Americans.
You!

Agreed, It took Franklin three terms to get it right in a period that was worse than we have now.

I agree. Well, somewhat. I think all things considered Obama has done a good job and that will be noticed more as time passes.

You're hilarious, Kitten. Or is it delirious? Those two words both sound the same.

    >>>I hope someone can explain why the Republicans have not out-performed the Democrats when it comes to employing Americans.<<<

Excuse me, Kitten, but for the first 24 months of Obama's 31 months in office, the White House and the Congress were completely run by Democrats. And during that time, our economy got demonstrably and markedly worse.

And except for the House of Representatives, which came under a Republican majority only 7 months ago, the government still is run by Democrats.

Obviously, owning up to their own failures isn't one of liberals' shining personal traits. Not Obama's, not the congressional liberals', and not yours.

Are you talking private sector or public sector jobs? If you're talking public sector then I would have to agree with you. Democrats are all about growing government. If you're talking private sector I'd like to know what you're basing this statement on. Remember the Carter years? Not too good. The Clinton years? Pretty good. Oh wait, that was a Republican-held Congress during Clinton. Never mind. You don't want to hear about that.

If people like you elect leaders based on false information, the things those leaders do in office will not be what the public expects or needs.

The huge 2009 budget deficit was just one more conservative failure.
President Obama didn;t triple the deficit. Congress and the White House are required by law to submit a budget ever year for the following year. The 2009 budget was the last budget year of the prior, conservative administration. Evidently, you haven't been paying at attention. At the end of the 110th Congress, Obama resigned in November 2008 to focus on his transition as President-elect of the United States, making there be 48 democrats in the Senate with 2 independents and 49 repugnats. Looks to me like the GOP was in power of the Senate. . Basic math: A budget year that ends 8 months into a President's first year wasn't that President's budget. The source is not hard to find: http://www.gpoaccess.gov/usbu... It is just one more demonstration of the failure of conservative policies.

"Obama was essentially correct when he said he inherited a budget deficit of $1.3 trillion." : http://politicalticker.blogs....

Obama inherited deficits from Bush administration

Like I said, budgets are for the following year, not the current one

Not the best since. FDR was good, and so was JFK. Obama compromises too much.
