Bar Stool Economics
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
§ The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
§ The fifth would pay $1.
§ The sixth would pay $3.
§ The seventh would pay $7.
§ The eighth would pay $12.
§ The ninth would pay $18.
§ The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So, that's what they decided to do.
The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. 'Since you are all such good customers,' he said, 'I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20.' Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?' They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the ...

So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.
And so:
§ The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
§ The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
§ The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
§ The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
§ The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
§ The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.
'I only got a dollar out of the $20,'declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,' but he got $10!' 'Yeah, that's right,' exclaimed the fifth man. 'I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than I!' 'That's true!!' shouted the seventh man. 'Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!' 'Wait a minute,' yelled the first four men in unison. 'We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!' The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, ladies and gentlemen, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

Let's look at McCains past regarding the economy. John McCain is friends with Charles Keating. Keating took McCains family on lavish trips, that even included the babysitter to watch his kids. Keating caused American tax payers billions of dollars in the Savings and Loans crisis. John McCain knew what was going on but chose to look the other way.
So why in the world would I vote for McCain now, in this current banking crisis period, when he was apart of the last banking crisis? Yea, yea, yea he was exonerated, but so was O.J in 1995 and he was guilty.
Obama 08!!!!!!
democratic plan 401K
Obama and Pelosi want to take your 401K and put it in the Federal government's hands. HELLO? Is anyone listening out there? Do you know that your hard-earned retirement investment will be taken away from you? Do you know that you will be required to make a mandatory 5% investment of your wages to the Federal government? Do you know that when you die, the government will keep 50% of your money? Please, please wake up. Whether you are a Democrat or Republican, we have all worked hard to make this country a success. All of us have sacrificed and will continue to sacrifice. But isn't this taking things a little too far? What will you live on when you retire? Welfare checks because your (and it is yours) retirement money has been taken away from you by the Obama-Pelosi bill? HELLO? Anyone out there listening?

and Obama and Odinga
Odinga is Obamas Radical Muslim Cousin
Obama went to Kenya to help him Campaign
When Odinga did not win he sent his group out they Raped and Murdered every on they could get their hands on. The cornered 50 Women and Childrens in a Church and Burned them alive.
Is this the Change he is talking about!!
http://africanpress.wordpress...
And
If this was of Obama or any other Black there would be outrage. But when it is a White Woman, Governor Sarah Palin. Not seen as a Problem. They were not even told to take it down. So do you see a change in Attitude towards White People. Its not a crime to hang a efigy of a White Person, But is is a Crime to hange a efigy of anyone else. WHY?
Now how are they going to react if, that very act happens?
http://news.aol.com/political...
A lot of people still don't know who Obama really is, or what he wants to do — and so are still not altogether sure that Obama is the proper antidote to George Bush. After more than a year of campaigning, Obama still remains an enigma.
Who are Obama's friends?
Obama promised to be the post-racial candidate who would bring us together. But when asked in March 2004 whether he attended regularly the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's Trinity United Church of Christ, Obama boasted: "Yep. Every week. Eleven o'clock service."
Mr. Obama . . . STOP LYING.
Bill Ayers, the terrorist is a lot more than "just a guy who lives in the neighborhood."
What else are you lying about ... ?
oblama just gives other people the money that people work for its not fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!
most liberals start the high taxes it not REPUBLICANS!!!
as a fact oblama SUCKS
hahhahahhahahahahahahhaha
Obama and Biden have a much strong plan from what I can tell.
"Spreading the wealth around" is Socialism.
It's been tried before - and it doesn't work.
Down with Socialism
Down with Obama.
GOVERNMENTS EXIST FOR THEMSELVES; OBAMA AND BIDEN NOW ARE PLANNING FOR YOU TO EXIST FOR THE GOVERNMENT!
THE CURRENT "DEMOCRATIC/LIBERAL" SOCIALIST PARTY WILL DESTROY AMERICA.
NO MATTER HOW BAD THE UPS AND DOWNS OF CAPITALISM, IT IS INFINITELY BETTER THAN ANY SOCIALISM.
Obama-Biden represent Socialism which takes a person's property and distributes to others without their having to anything except vote for them This system has given us Russia, Cuba, Venezuela. Are these countries great? Would you live there?
Obama wants you to exist for the government!
McCain wants the government to exist for you!
It's a no-brainer!
And its not just the tax, it capitol taxes, union vote in small business without say, and others I am sure all the obama fans know about.
If you vote obama many small business will or MUST cut back expensess, that means good bye the number of years you worked thier, all the relation ship you have with your company. Just like dem's tax our companies out of the US. Now they blindly vote for Obama to out TAX them into staffing jobs, next you will see overseas people come here on visas to do it less then Americans.

When that bail out came I wonder where you can get a full list of Ear marks which party they were coming from and really see what earmarks were in the intrest of the tax payers.
That kind of made me mad about a coin print, and other dumb things got stuck in that bill as ear marks, of whoich had nothing to do with the houseing crisis.
The candidate is but the face of a very large and powerful beast. Whether Democrat or Republican. The Republican beast has had a Grand Old time the last decade or so getting its teeth all over regulations, antitrust and bankruptcy laws. It was ravenously hungry and chowed down like a starving wolf. And now "starving" is seeming too much like the operative word. Wall Street greed has devoured our economy's seed corn. Starvation is looming.
Give the Democratic beast a chance, then. It seems to actually care about future seasons, not just the here and now, the quick easy (& supported by illusory mortgage-backed securities) buck. It doesn't just care about Wall Street - don't be fooled, though, as it DOES care about the home of plenty of Democratic financial support - it also cares about YOUR street. And whether there's enough money in the budget to keep that street clear of snow this winter.
The Democratic beast might prove a troublesome animal. It might insist on offbeat veggie-style meals from time to time. It might flail away against global warming when it's too late to do much about global warming. It might occasionally mistake small, cute and furry animals as being more important than fellow human beings. In fact, it's guaranteed to screw up and make ...

But nothing it can do can match the catastrophe of the Republican Beast, tearing into homes, jobs and savings like an insane Godzilla.
So bring on King Kong!
We have NUMEROUS social and public programs that all taxpayers fund for those who are less fortunate. Those are the programs that should be shut down.
The gov't is going to run all of our great companies (yes, read: enterprises) out of the country and into other countries that require less taxes and less regulations. This is not good. We need those companies and corporations. And if you don't like it, boycott their products/services.
What I am afraid of is his company he kept. I am afraid of him what he said about joe made fun of him. Are you a middle class man or woman he is making fun of you also and he will raise you taxes..and he hopes you are to umb to understand that. open your eyes and your heart and pray..He is a Muslim
I cannot.
Down with Socialism.
Down with Obama.
Everybody enjoyed a bubble now burst, fueled by wild deregulation and wrong non decisions. I don't know if Biden lied about his wife -who cares-, but Bush lied to you on Iraq (WMDs?). An expensive war nobody needed and terribly planned and mismanaged. Killer Osama is still free. An enormous deficit and a dangerous recession-crisis. Nice. Want more?
