Barack Obama now wants revisions for Afghanistan options. Is he dithering or deliberate?

hes doing it on purpose.....hes a anti war clown and will not give the generals what they need....he SAID he would...but i guess he was just kidding.

He is an anti war guy (or at least acts like one) in charge of the worlds must powerful military.

I hope the President is reconsidering the rationale for this war and testing fundamental assumptions, such as whether or not Afghanistan is even a nation, in the way the term is understood and used in the West. My hope is he'll soon come to the conclusion that it is not, and that we then withdraw all of our troops, as well as NATO troops, and allow the area we call Afghanistan, for no other reason than convention, to define its own raison d'etre. Saying this, our withdrawal should come with the following proviso: Should an act of terrorism occur in the U.S. or Europe, (or U.S. interests anywhere in the world) and we trace the origins of the plot back to the place designated as Afghanistan, we will retaliate quickly, cruelly and with no consideration "proportionality." (Although I think we lack the courage and resolve to actually follow-up on our threat.)

I have no other solution that withdrawal or total war. Anything less is a tragic waste of the lives of American and NATO troops, to say nothing of billions that we must invest in our own nation.

Obama is coming to realize that Afghanistan could do the same to us that it did to the USSR. We really need to get the heck out of there before we collapse the way the Soviet Union did in the 1990s. The irony is that we helped fuel rebel forces back then and now the seed we sowed is looking like it might ultimately bring us down too!
