“It only
stands to reason that where there’s sacrifice, there’s someone
collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there’s service, there is
someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of
slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.” – Ayn Rand
“What
we’re talking about under a balanced approach is asking Americans whose
incomes have gone up the most over the last decade – millionaires and
billionaires – to share the sacrifice
everyone else has to make.” – Barack Obama from his Debt Crisis
Address on July 25, 2011
“If everyone took an attitude of shared
sacrifice,
we could solve our deficit problem next week.” – Barack Obama at a
town-hall meeting in Atkinson,
Illinois on August 17, 2011

And just look who is asking for "sacrifice":
“It’s
about whether we settle for the same divisions and distractions and drama that
passes for politics today or whether we reach for a politics of common sense
and innovation, a politics of shared sacrifice
and shared prosperity.” – Barack Obama after he won the South Carolina primary
on January 26, 2008
“It can’t happen without you, without a new spirit of service, a new spirit of sacrifice.” – Barack Obama
after he won the race for the White House, speaking from Chicago on the night of November 4, 2008
“Like
any cash-strapped family, we will work within a budget to invest in what we
need and sacrifice what we
don’t.” – Barack Obama from his State of the Union Address on
January 27, 2010

In Barack H. Obama, Rand would recognize Mister Thompson. In Cass Sunnstein she would recognize Wesley Mouch; in John Holdren, Dr. Floyd Ferris (of Project X fame); in Jeff Immelt of GE, James Taggart; in the head of Solyndra, Orren Boyle; et al. ad nauseam.
All it wants is for a great designer of new kinds of motors to declare, "I will stop the motor of the world."
Consider the wisdom of a great American mind......
"Every ambitious would-be empire, clarions it abroad that she is conquering the world to bring it peace, security and freedom, and it is sacrificing her sons only for the most noble and humanitarian purposes. That is a lie; and it is an ancient lie, yet generations still rise and believe it."
~ Henry David Thoreau
...apparently sacrifice is for suckers.
THAT is the prblem with so-called Obamacare or any other government health care program that is based on forced (mandated) participation.
And the squishy family members in her books said, yes?
Similar to what a Senator like Dick Durbin would say today, yes?
Of course not! People like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Bernard Sanders are characters in her books, yes!
Where are you coming from with that comment? Comprehension problem?
You seem quite confused dear fellow.
YOU are the collectivist, yes?
