A couple years back, I overheard one guy ask another about his thoughts on Sarah Palin, and if he could ever see her running for and becoming U.S. president. He responded with, "Why not? She's hot."

That simple statement is demeaning, sure, but it is also valid in so many aspects.

No doubt, sexism still exists-- and women are the ones left in the dust. Those are facts.

I consider myself a staunch feminist, in the true sense of the word (someone who wants equality between the sexes). It's evident that this sort of equality hasn't happened yet... so I am yet feministing. And will feminist, until the gap can be bridged.

Also, that one guy? It's frightening to imagine him voting.

It's all relevant on what kind of Feminist your dealing with, sex+ feminists believe women are empowered by sexuality while sex- feminists believe sex degrades women.

    ortatem channing , she's sexist?

No offense, but most of you feminists don't attract men anyway. It smells of jealousy.

She may "drool" over Brad Pitt, but would she vote for him for president?
  • DougE Snow 2012/06/28 23:04:59

no because like Obama, he's never had a job to provide the experience necessary to run anything but his own household.

And how does this turn into an attack on the president?

Is the act of sexual intercourse, therefore, degrading to women?

Please tell me how you arrived at that ridiculous conclusion.

It is degrading only if you perceive the female position as 'submissive'.

As long as the elite feminists control the movement to suit only their views, there is no movement. They trash any substantial woman leader or role model that does not cowtow to their political views.

Feminism was a movement meant to empower women. It has gotten sadly derailed. They choose who to support and ridicule legitimate role models such as Sarah Palin, or Ann Romney.
