Capitalism is private ownership .... right down to private ownership of the nations banking system.

There's the 1% that owns 87% of the earths wealth. The 10% of us who have a handle on what is going on. And 89% Who (For whatever reason..) do not have a clue.

So what? You want to take it and hand it out to others? Maybe the 1% or their families WORKED to have what they have. AND they do pay taxes on their wealth. I am not a 1% but I don't begrudge them.

I don't have any numbers but I would think that they are spending a great deal of money all the time and incur sales tax which also equates some business' getting monies and paying workers. Maybe they have investments as well. As far as building things I agree the numbers certainly are not there just by looking around but because of the housing crash many wouldn't want to speculate on making a profit.

I wouldnt argue that first point. The problem is they cant spend enough money themselves to keep the economy afloat. They dont purchase enough washers and dryers, cars and other consumer products on their own.
Dont be fooled ... the 1% (an even the top 1/10 of 1%) are making more money NOW than during the boom years this time by destruction.

Because they need more cheap laborers to gain more profit.
The problem is, the more laborers they have the less consumers they have. It is a failing system and it is not going to last very long.

No kidding... most people I know don't have enough sense to have a positive bank balance, let alone $3,800.
