AUSTRALIAN PRIME MINISTER DOES IT AGAIN!!!

(Prime Minister Julia Gillard - Australia )

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.

Separately, Gillard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying she supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques.

Quote: ‘IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It.

“I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. ‘This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom’ We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!’

‘Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. ‘We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.’

‘This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, ‘THE RIGHT TO LEAVE‘.’

‘If you aren’t happy here then LEAVE. We didn’t force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.’

Islam is a dangerous political system that enslaves people that it conquers. We are never gonna be able to deal with it effectively until we accept this.

Because the CIA supplied them with our weapons along with Iraq and Israel in a failed attempt to bring stability to the middle east. As I already stated the man was far from perfect but he was a strong leader who brought about global change without even firing a single shot.

I couldn't agree with her more. Islam has almost taken over Europe, because of many countries being overly PC. I believe in being PC, but when people start marching in the streets demanding this and that and threatening to replace local law with the Koran and Sharia, then all PC should stop and the deportations begin.

America needs some lessons from her (note my screen name). Why is it that in this country companies are demanding more and more that people speak Spanish? Here in Florida, you cannot get a job in Miami and now it has started here in Fort Lauderdale. The Cubans are laughing themselves silly, because it becomes a situation where they only hire other Cubans. It is PC gone haywire, because every other ethnic group gets the shaft, and Cubans get all the jobs. My point is it really has nothing to do with speaking Spanish, because other people that speak perfect Spanish that come from other countries, are just eliminated at the interview level. The purpose is to give the Cubans hiring priority and exclude everyone else.

This one has only just been done by someone else on here. I'll say now what I said then, and that's its totally incorrect. She said none of this, and it's a spam email that has been doing the rounds for the last few years and if you google it, the same statements appear with other leaders names. The former Prime Minster John Howard had his name attached to this too. I am Australian and follow our politics very closely and she would never even hint at such a thing.

As much as I don't like her leadership at the moment and would like to see her replaced, something like that would have had her ousted very quickly if it were true and her party go into damage control as they only have a one seat majority and rely on support from muslim voters in certain electorates as well as the pro-immigration Green Party which holds the balance of power in the Senate. However she is very politically correct and an excellent debater and wouldn't even hint at something like this, even if it was in the interests of her political longevity.

Also she's an atheist so the pro Christian comments are definitely not from her. If she said half of this, most likely her party would distance itself from the comments and have her replaced. This would all happen in the national media and be easily verifiable.

OK I can see why this would be deemed racist, but when I go to a country and live I live by their laws, I don't think much of Gillard, I voted for the Aussie Sex Party since I didn't like the competition either but she has a point, they want to be tried under the laws of their own country when they live in ours, if your laws are so awesome take the next flight and go back to breaking laws in your own country, not rocket science, just common sense, they shouldn't be told to leave because of their beliefs, but if they believe they should be sentenced under their laws they should not come here to break the law

That's the point as Sharia Law is a separate system of law under which Muslims would be tried under their laws... not Australia's. In Britain, this was allowed with certain rules where Sharia Law would supercede British law such as murder which could not be allowed to supercede British law for obvious reasons. Most people assumed that Gaddafi had instituted Sharia Law in Libya and were shocked to learn, after his removal from power, he had actually ended Sharia Law and eliminated most radical Islamic groups... the very people NATO and the US just put into power only to see Al-Qaeda and Hezbollah flags flying over the country and Sharia Law imposed on day one when the new government took over.

What the Prime Minister here is saying that if you come to Australia, you live by Australian customs and by their laws.

In the United States, the political left exploits these people as their latest victims group and are fighting for their rights... the same rights they fight to deny to Christians when Muslims are more far right and extreme than any of the Christian groups the left constantly attacks. In other words, they are embracing people with far more hatred to what the political left believes and supports than the Christians and extreme political right in the US support.

    Now, can you...

In other words, they are embracing people with far more hatred to what the political left believes and supports than the Christians and extreme political right in the US support.

Now, can you tell me how it is that the political left is supporting a group of people defined by their religious beliefs and are far more extreme right than any Christian group or rightwing group? It makes no sense does it... until you understand that the Liberals here in the US aren't true Liberals as over the past century, every Socialist and Communist group that joined the Democratic Party began calling themselves Liberals while most true Liberals became Moderates, Independents and even Conservatives. A true Liberal has rightwing beliefs and would be defined as 60 / 40 or 70 / 30 majority leftwing... in the US, those calling themselves Liberals and Progressives have almost NO rightwing views at all meaning that by definition they are Socialists and Communists. Research America and you will see what i mean as in the 1940's and 50's, the Liberals here in the US were involved heavily in the Red Scare.

Now, I realize you live in Australia and your political systems there differ. However, what your Prime Minister seems to be saying is she will not put up with the BS she see's happening in Europe and places like the US and Canada where you can't make them where protective gear where it's required by law because they refuse to wear it based on their religious beliefs, they carry knives into schools where as long as they keep them wrapped up it's ok and where Progressives and Faux Liberals are actually fighting to allow Sharia Law to be implemented in their states and provinces. These people aren't the Socialist Democrats you see in Russia and China... these people support Old Socialism and Communism which have failed everywhere in the world with even the great powers in China and Russia abandoning the system.

I applaud your Prime Minister for having the guts to say "Not Here" and it seems that what she's saying is that this is your country, your culture and your system of law... if they want to change it, she will not tolerate them and they can go back home if they wish to live by their own rules or try to change Australia's culture and way of life. She doesn't sound like she's saying to get the hell out, she's saying this is our country and you are guests here until you become citizens and if you are citizens, then learn the language and our way of life. Add to what we have but don't try to take or change what we have and destroy it. This is our country... love it or leave it.

You are correct sir and pay attention to who in your country sides with the Muslims as when they reveal themselves, you have found your Socialists and Communists no matter what name they go by as the pattern is always the same as they try to divide people from within to stir up revolution and through revolution they try to take over. Look at our Occupy Movement in the US where you can't hide the Communists who are involved in it as they are openly revealing themselves. In the 1960's, a true Liberal would have marched on Washington DC no matter who was in power when their objectives could only be accomplished at the federal level... these people won't and the reason is that if they march on Washington DC, it could turn against Obama and work to the benefit of their enemies. They want revolution to erupt at the local and state level and they are now widely being ignored because they stopped being a story worth reporting. But if you examine them, this is a classic Communist move and these people have always used problems between Christians and Muslims to divide people against one another.

But where you say they shouldn't be told to leave because of their beliefs, remember... their religion does call for the overthrow of all governments and for Islam to replace them. In Libya, we were told Moderate Islam was going to be the new way and then we see radical Islam take over instead exactly like everyone, including the military fighting the war, told us. So there is a threat there based on religious beliefs and if they want to preach taking over, you should treat them as a threat regardless how serious a threat they may be... now as later it may be too late to address.

I agree, it isn't how a country should be run and I applaud Gillard for doing it. People need to realize when they make the move to another country that the way they do things are not the same and that they have to make the change, not expect the whole system to fit around their needs. Its selfish, narrow minded and flat out stupid, when I traveled overseas I made sure I knew the countries customs and enough about their legal system to make sure I avoided getting in trouble, and that was traveling not taking up residence. I do also see what your saying about their beliefs, but I think it would be difficult for a prime minister after letting them in to say, hey we made a mistake you have to go because of your beliefs, so its a tricky scenario

i believe in religious freedom though i do feel that religious radicals is a real problem but i think a lot of that should be left up to the religious leaders if they truly are as pious as they claim to be. i am christian and i admit that there are a lot of nut jobs who claim to be christian and in their closed minded beliefs no longer can be considered christian and i think islamists or muslims what ever you call them i feel we should deal with the problem differently than kicking a bunch of people out (which would only add more fuel to the preverbal fire)

Hmmm, now that all looks familiar, because that xenophobic revisionist history has been spewed before and only gullible people will accept it at face value, without questioning it's validity.

"We speak English, not Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society — learn our language!

"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some off-the-wall, Christian, Right Wing, political slogan — it is our national motto. It is engraved in stone in the House of Representatives in our Capitol and it is printed on our currency. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation; and this is clearly documented throughout our history. If it is appropriate for our motto to be inscribed in the halls of our highest level of Government, then it is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools."

I think most of the extreme right-wingers in America start frothing at the mouth whenever they see something that seems to echo their own personal xenophobic hatred and I guess it's understandable that they'd want to jump on the bandwagon and use it to try gathering more support for their unnecessary cause. Understandable, but still very, very sad.

I actually know a fair amount about Australian history, the first governor of New South Wales, Arthur Phillip, studied in the same town that I did, Greenwich, London and I used to live just across the road from the school he once attended, which is now part of the Royal Naval College. I'd often go around the local libraries and museums studying as much as I could about Greenwich history. Henry VIII lived in a palace with his two daughters, Mary and Elizabeth, in a palace on the land that was eventually used for the Royal Naval College and Sir Isaac Newton used to work just up the road in Greenwich Park's Royal Observatory as well. It was definitely an interesting place to grow up in, there's no shortage of local history.

One thing that makes learning about Australian history easy is that it's very short in comparison to most other countries. I love history and find European history really fascinating especially because it goes back such a long way. US history is really interesting too, I don't know that much but since I've been on here I've been trying to learn more.

I've delved into the history of a few countries that started out as British colonies, it's a great way to understand modern attitudes that aren't actually as modern as many people seem to think. Old habits die hard, but there seems to be a lot of deserved and undeserved animosity towards the British and because it's mixed together some people never bother to question the reasoning behind it or the true origin.

This is a bogus spam email. This is at least the second time I have had to point this out on Sodahead. Instead of just regurgitating things, take a second to verify them first, especially if you got them in an email.

Ms Gillard never said any of this. An an atheist herself, she wouldn't say the "rah, rah Christianity" crap in this speech.

Most Australians are no longer religious, and while many are still nominally Christian, belief in Christianity and the Christian god in Australia is even lower than it is in Canada.

If those who are still Christian don't want Muslims to have special priveleges, then they need to support secularism, and with with the non-religious who share their social values. Stop asking for special priveleges for Christianity, because it is that precedent which gives Muslim immigrants something to appeal to. Keep your religion to yourself, and others will have to as well. Support one public education system with NO religious schools, and Muslims will have to send their children to it.
