AUSTRALIAN PRIME MINISTER DOES IT AGAIN!!!

(Prime Minister Julia Gillard - Australia )

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.

Separately, Gillard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying she supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques.

Quote: ‘IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It.

“I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. ‘This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom’ We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!’

‘Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. ‘We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.’

‘This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, ‘THE RIGHT TO LEAVE‘.’

‘If you aren’t happy here then LEAVE. We didn’t force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.’

Islam is a dangerous political system that enslaves people that it conquers. We are never gonna be able to deal with it effectively until we accept this.

After Islam was invented,it was spread thruout the Mid-East where the people were given the choice of convert or die.Christianity is responsible for murdering people who didn't want to convert as well but in a different manner then Islam.Get rid of ALL religions & perhaps there would be less hatred & craziness.

If I may. If it wasn't religion it would be skin color ,money or some other factor. People have hated other people for thousands of years.

Unfortunately that's true. But religion is something that should be gotten rid of.Too many think their religion is 'better'.One doesn't need any religion to be a good person. Why is so hard for people to accept others simply as they are & not on race or religion? I judge people on how they treat others.

'I judge people on how they treat others.'

You are right , one does not need religion to be a good person . Speaking for myself , I enjoy my church activities and the Constitution gives me a right to freely express my religion .You are asking people to treat me pretty sorry.

No,I'm not.But religious people should not go trying to convert others to their religion.I go by facts & hope I am making people think about what they are told to believe instead of following blindly.

She must have read the book on how to make friends and influence people. lol
Is she saying that no muslims were born in Australia? I find that hard to believe. She sounds like a far right wacko politician. Wasn't Australia originally a penal colony?

Yes,it was where the English sent their 'criminals',many of which weren't criminal at all.Islam can exist but they don't run the country or make the rules.THEY have to conform.

Not all Muslims agree with the rigidity of sharia law and accept secular law. Those that cannot should depart for more accepting climes for the majority of this country does not and will never accept sharia law

I hate to say it, but she is right. America needs to tell people to lighten up. America was founded on freedom and we do a great job respecting everyone. But, we have become so afraid of hurting people's feelings that we are pandering to dangerous groups who know that if they complain loud enough, we will give in. 9-11 wouldn't have happened IF those flight schools weren't worried about offending people and just said, "Nope, you can't take our flying lessons without learning how to land. " The pilots learned to fly planes around the corner from where I live. Everyone was so careful not to offend people from another culture that everyone overlooked common sense. And then the people we are trying to protect wind up being more prejudice than we can ever imagine. I am not usually this radical, but I think we need to know when to stop being politically correct and just say NO!

I doubt they were worried about offending them. They had money, they paid. It's about as simple as that.

I confess I have never studied Australian civics and while I can agree with what she is saying. I believe Australia is a part of the British Commonwealth and as such the Church of England and therefore Protestantism is most likely the official religion of the country. If this is in deed the case then there is a firm foundation for her statements. The big difference between Australia and the United States being that the US has no official religion and therefore lacks the same kind of foundation to allow the elected leaders of this country to make such statements in an official capacity. Regardless of how they personally feel. Australia's tolerance of other religions is a courtesy extended to the people of that country. Here it is required of the government per our constitution.
So anybody wanna step into this hornet's nest and take on amending the constitution to make it possible here?

Australia is independent at present, used to be owned by England.Australians are of various religions or none at all.

I realize that Australia is independent, of course. However, unlike the US, it did'nt win it's independence through revolution but was granted independence as have most of the former protectorates and colonies of the old British Empire. As I understand it. Just about all of the former entities that made up that empire are still member states in the British Commonwealth and retain fundamental imperial basics in their individual governments. Canada for instance is an independent nation but is still very committed to the Commonwealth. I'm pretty sure I've heard the same is true of Australia.
  • suejkw Eddie 2012/01/19 21:50:43

That's true. Some of the countries that were conquered & owned by England still continue to be involved with England but are considered independent as well.

We need to seat a Congressional Joint Select Committee on Religious Ideals and their Consequences. I would be very glad to defend the Bible against the Koran before such a Committee any day of the week.

"Fight and slay the infidels"--it couldn't be any clearer. Then there's the matter of the Aussies electing a woman as their head-of-state. She knows that the Muslims would, if they had their way, "off with her head" just for her having the temerity to hold the office she holds.
