What is the Tea Party?
SH is the wrong place for questions like this, LOL!!
You!
Add Photos & Videos
I've been on SH for a little while, and I've noticed that Tea Party folks get a lot of heat from some on the LEFT. I am posing this question in order to try and understand where the disagreement is.

Personally I agree with the TEA party that we need tax reform. I also agree that we need to keep taxes low and cut spending. I share their concern over our MASSIVE national debt and our TRILLION+ dollar annual budget deficits.

herman cain
I often hear some on the LEFT calling out TEA party members for their alleged 'obstruction' methods in the House. I have also heard the concern they have over their growing influence in the Senate and over many state governors.

But what exactly is it you disagree with? How can we address these things and make some real change. Is it the leadership? Is it certain legislation that you find harmful? Is it just a difference of economic ideologies?

I wanna know what you think? Leave me a comment now and share with everyone who loves this country. And of course RAVE ALL DAY!!!!
SOUND OFF!!!

Im somewhat optimistic that the TOP OPINION and seemingly the author of this blog has concerns for the National debt….. yet confused on the declaration that the Tea Party is taking the Republican party to the "extreme?" I find it puzzling in that declaration of being a “fiscal conservative” but the attacks on Tea Party people does not seem to back up the worry about finance… for they seem to say otherwise? Or, a lot of hateful comments give no "substance" to any issue.

I'm curious.... Just where does one find strong Tea Party people in Washington being so "radical" and putting our nation in the position of absolute deadlock?

Is it that the Tea Party Republicans totally blocked the President's imitative for extending funds to the unemployed... or was it that they simply demanded reductions in other areas to pay for it?

Was it that Paul Ryan was trying to reform Social Security that upsets you…. or that he was trying his best to keep in solvent? For he is the ONLY one who had the "balls" to put something forward, is he not? Will the “political safeness” of doing "nothing" present a secured program for those now entering the system when they retire?

Was it the fact that Col Allen West is a Conservative Republican that upsets you people or are you aware he has saved the American Taxpayer more than $400,000,000 within his first 3 months of office in uncovering waste?

Is it the fact that Democrats completely locked out Republicans from ANY input into a ‘now’ $2.8 TRILLION health care initiative, or are you people saying that they are acting out of "pay-back" now that they control the house?

IF you truly believe that the Tea Party Republicans have taken over and "hijacked" the Republican Party of Reagan and the Bushes, can you not also say that Obama, Pelosi and Reid have "hijacked" the Party of JFK and Clinton? For are they not solely responsible for more than 1/2 of the rise in our $16 Trillion debt in just over three years?

So... I would be open to responses to me in a CIVIL way to address your "fiscal conservative" feelings on how Democrats are going to address our national debt that is now 102% of our annual GDP?

The TEA Party simply wants America to get back to the principles that made us a great nation, in the first place. Smaller government, less taxation, and the freedoms that are guaranteed by the Constitution.
There are so many laws nowadays, that no one can quote every single one of them.
We have too many taxes... even the Olympic athletes will be taxed for WINNING GOLD in London! Ironic, isn't it? Be successful, make your country proud... get taxed for being a better athlete than someone else.
The TEA party isn't out to overthrow the country. They're out there to RESTORE the country!

What's so hard to understand about that?

I stand with the TEA Party! Get the crooks ---------- all of the crooks !-------------- out of government , and get out taxes under control! We now have taxation without representation at the highest level since the Revolutionary War! And members of Both parties are responsible! Give the government back to the people!

The TEA PARTY has a mission to take their country back to Constitutional government, less taxation and more individual responsibility. A government run by We the People as masters, and our elected officials acting like the servants they are, and doing the will of the people who put them in office.

Succinctly, a government run by the people, for the people with liberty and justice for all.
There is nothing to dislike about the TEA PARTY unless you are a liberal and want to control and butt into everyone's business!

Many on the left are afraid of the Tea Party, so they denigrate and lie about them as often as possible. They're afraid of anyone that is going to make it more difficult to socialize this nation.

As a former Democrat, that party has taken a very wide left turn, it no longer represents what America is about, thankfully more people realize that the parties are working for themselves and their friends and no longer represent us. The Tea Party was formed by people from both sides of the aisle, to return to a more fiscally responsible position and stop borrowing from the countries that hate us.

What the government gives it can take away!
I'm sure, come election time, there are millions of people voting to keep the entitlement checks coming to the mailbox! I call it enslavement of the poor in our country. When nothing is expected of you, you contribute nothing! We have the lost generation perpetuating itself!

I believe that is exactly what happened to an entire generation during the Bolshevik revolution under Joseph Stalin! Unfortunately, those who fell for Joseph never did see his "equality" come to fruition! As a matter of fact, some 10 Million people starved to death or died in the prisons he prepared for them! :(

The "private" sector has sacrificed enough! When we see our tax dollars going to fund a Jacuzzi bath for some GSA supervisor to sit in and his subordinates making a "rap" video as to how nice it is to live off the Tax Paying American..... it is well past time to let THEM know who their boss REALLY is! For the worm they “think” it is…. is but as temporary as the pull of a lever or the point of a pin stick in the next election! :)
