Attacks on Mitt Romney red herrings?

Why Mitt Romney is "Unlikable!"

A lot is being said in
the media about Mitt Romney not being "likable" or that he doesn't
"relate well" to people. Frankly, we struggled to understand why. So
after much research, we have come up with a Top Ten List to explain his
"unlikablility."

Top Ten Reasons To Dislike Mitt Romney:

1. Drop-dead,
collar-ad handsome with gracious, statesmanlike aura. Looks like every
central casting's #1 choice for Commander-in-Chief.

2. Been married to ONE
woman his entire life, and has been faithful to her, including through
her bouts with breast cancer and MS.

3. No scandals or skeletons in his closet. (How boring is that?)

4. Can't speak in a fake " preacher voice" when necessary.

5. Highly intelligent.
Graduated cum laude from both Harvard Law School and Harvard Business
School... and by the way, his academic records are NOT sealed.

6. Doesn't smoke
or drink alcohol, and has never done drugs, not even in the
counter-culture age when he went to college. Too square for today's
America?

7. Represents an
America of "yesterday", where people believed in God, went to Church,
didn't screw around, worked hard, and became a SUCCESS!

8. Has a family of
five great sons....and none of them have police records or are in drug
rehab. But of course, they were raised by a stay-at-home mom, and that
"choice" deserves America's scorn.

9. Oh yes.....he's a
MORMON. We need to be very afraid of that very strange religion that
teaches its members to be clean-living, patriotic, fiscally
conservative, charitable, self-reliant, and honest.

10. And one more
point.....pundits say because of his wealth, he can't relate to ordinary
Americans. I guess that's because he made that money HIMSELF.....as
opposed to marrying it or inheriting it from Dad. Apparently, he didn't
understand that actually working at a job and earning your own money
made you unrelatable to Americans.

My goodness, it's a strange world, isn't it?

*****************************************************

Personal Information:

His full Name is: Willard Mitt Romney. He was Born: March 12, 1947 and is 65 years old.

His Father: George W. Romney, former Governor of the State of Michigan.

He was raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

He is Married to Ann Romney since 1969; they have five children.

Education: B.A. from Brigham Young University, J.D. and M.B.A. from Harvard University

Religion: Mormon - The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints

Working Background: After high school, he spent 30 months in France as a Mormon missionary.

After
going to both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School
simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar exam, but never worked as an
attorney.

In 1984, he co-founded Bain Capital a private equity investment firm, one of the largest such firms in the United States.

In 1994, he ran for Senator of Massachusetts and lost to Ted Kennedy.

He was President and CEO of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

In 2002, he was elected Governor of the State of Massachusetts where he eliminated a 1.5 billion deficit.

Some Interesting Facts about Romney:

Bain
Capital, starting with one small office supply store in Massachusetts,
turned it into Staples; now over 2,000 stores employing 90,000 people.

Bain Capital also worked to perform the same kinds of business
miracles again and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy,
Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama,
Home Depot Supply and many others.

He was an unpaid volunteer campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign 1 year.

He was an unpaid intern in his dad's governor's office for eight years.

He was an unpaid bishop and state president of his church for ten years.

He was an unpaid President of the Salt Lake Olympic Committee for three years.

He took no salary and was the unpaid Governor of Massachusetts for four
years.

He gave his entire inheritance from his father to charity.

Mitt
Romney is one of the wealthiest self-made men in our country but has
given more back to its citizens in terms of money, service and time than
most men.

And in 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19%
of his income.... Just for comparison purposes,Obama gave 1% and Joe
Biden gave $300 or .0013%.

Mitt Romney is Trustworthy:

He will show us his birth certificate

He will show us his high school and college transcripts.

He will show us his social security card.

He will show us his law degree.

He will show us his draft notice.

He will show us his medical records.

He will show us his income tax records.

He will show us he has nothing to hide.

Mitt Romney's
background, experience and trustworthiness show him to be a great leader
and an excellent citizen for President of the United States.

You may think that
Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have
selected. At least I know what religion he is, and that he won't
desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or practice fiscal
irresponsibility.

I know he has the
ability to turn this financial debacle that the current regime has
gotten us into. We won't like all the things necessary to recover from
this debt, but someone with Romney's background can do it.

But, on the minus
side, he never was a "Community Organizer", never took drugs or smoked
pot, never got drunk, did not associate with communists
or terrorists, nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the US. [Oooops!]

I am not understanding the "Obama retort" at all. As for Mitt lying, have no idea what you're speaking about. I don't think he lies, and if he does and you can prove it, then he more than likely lies lots, lots less than the rest of them. So he still gets my approval. But what in the hell are you talking about?

Sorry, but if you don't realize just how bad Mitt is about lying, it's too late to show you.

Go right ahead... swallow up everything he says.

And again, you don't HAVE to use Obama... I already said he lied...

My question is about Romney lying. You know he does... yet as a conservative aren't you suppose to be honest... stick to values... have morals...

That about covers it all Murph.... you conservative SPEAK a good game, but you can't back it up! And again... this response isn't about Obama... I know what he's does... and clearly stated it.

Why is it that you insist on being vague? No, I do not know that Mitt is bad about lying. What lies? And I'm not using Obama...you say he lied. Okay, lied about what? As a human being I'm supposed to be honest, stick to values, have morals - do not, repeat, do not lay that bunch of crud off on the conservatives. What, we're supposed to be honest, have values and morals so that the libs don't have to? Come on. You're accusing me of "speaking a good game." What's the damn game? I didn't bring Obama into this, you did. You say you know what he does and you clearly stated it, not so, kiddo, unless you can give the site where you did that. Again, do not understand what you're saying about being new to the game. Am assuming you mean you are able to throw non-specific innuendo out against the conservatives and not have to give definitive answers. I take some offense to "I'm sure there most likely a link in there that you'll parse and throw it out as a lie about the liar."

If, in fact, all you say is true, and I do not yet believe it because you're telling me the daily kos has links to lies from Mitt, even if he has told some, I want to see what they were, what they were about. I agree, Mitt is quite pretentious . . . maybe even evil.

Sure he's Mormon, but not all Mormons are evil people . . . far from it.

    In fact,Senate Majority Leader Harry Reed is a Mormon . . . a good Mormon . . . Not a phony like Romney.

Of course Harry Reed is not nearly as handsome as Mitt Romney . . . or Ted Bundy.

Yes, that's right . . . Ted Bundy was a Mormon too . . . an extremely straight laced Mormon.

Ted Bundy converted to Mormonism during the thick of his killing spree. He walked around with a Bible in one hand and the Book of Mormon in the other. He was quite a handsome man too . . . He reminds me a lot of Mitt Romney.

He didn't drink, smoke, do drugs, or steal. He just had that one little flaw that involved beating and torturing women to death . . . sometimes biting their dead bodies, and lying about it of course.

But if you forget about that one little outlier, he was indeed a straight laced young Mormon man.

He was attending law school in Salt Lake City when he was first arrested. His friends were shocked. . . . Or so they said . . . But maybe they were pretending too.

Why do supremely selfish, supremely evil, pretentious people just naturally gravitate toward the Repubican Party?

Indeed these attacks are red herrings. They are designed to divert the attention of the voters from the real issues and the person who is more qualified to fix the problems and to get Obama reelected -- God forbid. They are strictly geared toward inciting emotional hatred and class envy, period. Unfortunately, many Americans are unsophisticated when it comes to politics and they react to emotion rather than facts. And that makes them easy prey for the likes of the Obama team. We really need to revamp our schools and start teaching values and ethics and preparing our youth to be able to make their own informed decisions in important matters and not become brainwashed and robotic and putty in the hands of our enemies.

Now, so far Romney has only released 1 year of returns, with his 2011 returns being set to be released in October of this year. Why is Romney not representing the precident that his own father set? This is all a red herring to keep everyone from focusing on the actual economy, the more than 8.2 % unemployed, Fast and Furious and a host of others. Let's not be watching and listening to what the WH and congress expect to do about Iran, Iraq, Syria, North Korea, the Muslim Brotherhood, closing of the Straits of Hormuz, attacks upon Irsrael, the newest bombing of civilians, the dollar tanking and what that means. No, let's concern ourselves with a really, really important issue like a tax return from Mitt Romney. Besides, if we're all on that witch hunt, it will also distract us from the many, many, documents and much info we do not have about our current president that a great many of us would like to, in fact, have and see. So you go get Romney, maybe it will make you feel better and you won't have to concern yourself with the important things.

Give me a freakin' break. Like we "knew all about" our sitting president. Everything on the list above tells you about the guy, and it's one helluva lot more than we knew about Obama. Romney made his money honorably and honestly. The only ones screaming, and who started the screaming about Romney's tax return is the WH and the dems. It's a distraction. Obama has outsourced jobs. He and some of our wonderful governors have Chinese firms and workers here in the US doing infrastructure work. That should piss the hell out of you, not whether Romney gives you a tax return. Some companies were able to be saved and built, some weren't. Period, end of discussion. Sending jobs overseas? LOTS AND LOTS OF COMPANIES DO IT - including good, old Jeff Imelt. No problem with him? Why the heck not?

Give you a break when you want another guessing game president like the one we have now ?

Romney is no guessing-game president. Obama is and always has been a guessing game. We know nothing about the big O. We know plenty about Romney. One dadgum tax return isn't going to matter one whit. Why don't you get more excited about what Obama is going to do for the next four months and especially what he is going to do if he ends up a lame duck president. He already cares nothing for the constitution. Can you not imagine how he will circumvent that and congress if he doesn't have to worry about being elected again?

Gee he sure has me and most of this country guessing about his tax returns and how do you know more tax returns wouldn't make a difference ? Got a crystal ball or something or just a blind follower like the Obama supporters are ? I think I am the one who needs the break with some real answers ,that is if you have any besides just you protecting this guy .

Look at the post, read it. No, I don't have a crystal ball and, no, I'm not an Obama supporter. I'm not protecting anyone, haven't stated anything that would sound like protection. I have read what I posted. I see an honorable man who has worked his whole life and has been able to amass a great deal of money. Good for him. He put in long, hard hours and he deserves what he earned. There is nothing wrong with being rich. While you're bewailing something, repeat something, that may or may not be in one tax return you're discounting all the business, and they for the most part have gotten to be big business, that he and Bain were able to keep and put money into for them to grow. They EMPLOY thousands of people. That used to be a good thing. I say again, it's a red herring, it's keeping everyone from focusing on the pressing matters we have before us, and it's getting a lot of people to be envious, operate under the "poor me" syndrome and the "He's made lots of money so he must be a bad guy syndrome," the rest of which is the "I'd better vote for Obama because he's not as rich as Romney." Good reason to vote for someone no one knows anything about at all.
