It should stay, it's part of the towers

It is a smybol of defiant faith in the justice of God in the face of murder and tragedy. Atheists should try to be more tolerant and sensitive to the feelings of others.

IF atheists are so certain that there is no God why are they so offended by Him?? Why is he such a threat to their conscience??

It is time for God's children to start standing up against these individuals.

It's part of the tower. Many that died were of some christian faith so I see no issue. Its not like they made it, the towers fell and that is what was left. I think atheists are going too far with this anti Christ thing to the point they are pushing their beliefs on us.

When will aheists learn the first amendment protects religious practice from the government; it restricts the government from interfering with the choice of and practice of faith (even if that choice is no practice of faith). It refers to a restriction of government, not of the people.

With that said, the right to religious freedom does not supercede anyone else's right to security of person. The right to life supercedes, the right to religious freedom, but our right to religious freedom does supercede our right to convenience.

Therefore if the practice of my faith inconveniences (or offends) you, you are SOL. I, for one, am tired of being compelled to shut up and sit down. I will pray, speak the name of Jesus and use the word "bible" in public, at home, in school, von the steps of city hall or in this case respect a cross on hallowed ground where some of us lost loved ones.

So sit the hell down and shut up about it already!

AWESOME! I am really thankful that there really are GOOD KIND people who kept the only right answer as the winning answer! Atheists are the BIGGEST cowards and thats the reasoning behind them being scared of such a right thing to do.

Beautifully articulated. Fear IS a basis for all dysfunctional behavior and irrational behavior!

Thank you!! Yes, as far as I was taught the opposite of Belief was/is apathy. These atheists and liberals are showing HATE and HATE stems from FEAR.

I'm an atheists/agnostic and I don't have a problem with that at all. It is, after all, a burial site.
