Atheism by it's very definition cannot be classed as a religion:
Definition of ATHEISM -
1) a : a disbelief in the existence of deity, God or the supernatural
b : the doctrine that there is no deity, God

Definition of RELIGION -
1) the service and worship of God, a deity or the supernatural
2) commitment or devotion to religious faith or observance
3) a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices
4) a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith
I post this merely as fact, and not as the opinion of an Atheist.
Although I believe that everyone should have the choice to practice a religion of their own choosing, as well as no religion at all, I am a Christian.
