As Predicted Democrats Abandoning Obama

Obama Failed Soda Head Chief Opi 2012/05/26 05:35:18

Love is always being able to tell liberals I told you so.

Ok, I don’t know if it’s love exactly, but man it sure does feel good.

A few weeks ago, after West Virginia’s Democrat governor and US Senator both refused to endorse Obama for reelection in 2012, I wrote:

Scores of Democrats running for reelection will defect from Obama before the campaign is done. And scores of Democrat voters will reject him too.

Why? The same reason voters will likely vote to kick Obama out of the White House: self-interest, if not outright self-defense.

Democrat Governor Earl Ray Tomblin of West Virginia has announced that he isn’t sure that he will be supporting Barack Obama for reelection.

“Tomblin said in statement released by his campaign that he was a ‘loyal member of the Democratic Party’ but was concerned by fellow Democrat Obama's ‘misguided policies,” reports the Charleston Daily Mail.

I also observed that West Virginia’s newest Democrat Senator, Joe Manchin has been a little more direct about his distaste for Obama.

“If that means I have to break with my party to do what's best for the country,” wrote Manchin in an op-ed in the Gazette-Mail, “I will. If it means I take on a sitting president to protect West Virginia interests, I have and I will.”

Manchin’s bow-shot on SS Obama was returned by advisor David Axlerod on CNN’s State of the Union: "I think he was very candid there,” reported the National Journal. “His concern is about his own political well being. He's running for the Senate in that state. We didn't win the state the last time. It's going to be a tough state for us again, and he's making a political judgment about himself."

Well according to the official tally released today by the RNC, the number of Democrats slapping down Obama isn’t quite yet a score.

It’s only 14.

That will do for now. It’s early.

In an email titled “14 and Counting,” the RNC details 14 Democrats who have disavowed Obama’s “attacks on free enterprise in his campaign.”

The list includes some we already know about, but it also includes some names that should worry Obama- like for example Senator Dianne Feinstein (LIB, CA) who has told Obama to get on with more fertile campaign territory.

More importantly, independents are leaving him in droves since he failed to bring "hope and change" as he promised. Now he wants us to forget the first four years and give him four more?!

I assume there are some folks here who could use $3,000 a year,” Obama said. “Let’s get that done right now. That means they’re — you know, if you got $3,000 a year extra, that helps you pay down your credit cards. That helps you go out and buy some things that your family needs. Which is good for business. Maybe somebody will be replacing some thingamajig for their furnace. They’ve been putting that off. but they got that extra money, they might just go out there and buy that thing.”

    The “thingamajig” reference was funny

There is no vision from Team Obama about how to fix this mess, beyond these warmed-over proposals that made up the core of the (broadly unpopular) stimulus bill. What happens in a second term with the economy? Do we just keep limping on, while the president continually blames his predecessor, pushes small ball (and obviously poll-tested) proposals, and tries to pump more money into Democratic constituencies like the teachers and craft unions? I understand the political need to blame Bush, but there has to be more.

Obama and all the Leftist agenda need to be held up and ridiculed. They should be a lesson in what doesn't work, what will not work and what will never work. They should be a lesson in why the founders created our government the way they did

How much longer can Obama say, "It's Bush's fault." The statute of limitations ran out on that phrase in 2011. After all, Obama said if he can't "get this thing fixed in three years he will be a one term president."

Like a broken record he keeps going back to it but I think most Americans are no buying it any more. He still has a deck of race cards in his pocket that he still uses but we're getting used to that too and it doesn't mean much any more, like the Boy Who Cried Wolf.

    For some inexplicable reason, most people that fell for Obozo's BS didn;t really want to listen to the facts. It's really weird how effin stupid these people choose to be. Examples;
    1) racist pastor—doesn't matter
    2) wants to spread wealth—sounds good to them
    3) hangs around with communists in college—where the problem
    4) has an invisible past—fine with them

You could go on all day. IMO, Barack Hussein Obama is the biggest hoax ever played on the United States of America.

I hope they hold off for a little while yet before it's evident there's significant numbers of defectors because I don't want the dems to have enough time and/or money left to put in somebody else, like Clinton as an example, who might still be able to win in November. Although I will be happy with anybody but Obama, I don't trust these so-called progressive democrats whose progressiveness merely means the financial destruction of the United States, among other things. I'd rather we play it safe with a Republican president for at least four years. You can make your judgments after that, but I truly believe that first four years is going to be crucial to get us out of the messes Obama has already put us into.

The only thing Obama does is find ways to divide us, like attacking the rich. Obama can't talk on real issues because his ideas are socialist ideas which 90% of the people don't want. So he has to find ways to disguise what he really is doing. As more and more Americans realize the job market and business in general will never boom under Obama the more Americans will vote against Obama. He truly is the worse President we ever had, 2008 was one big mistake. Imagine owning the amount of natural resources this country owns, and we have a President who won't develop them to create jobs and bring down costs at the same time.

I hear and agree with every word you've said. He did a beautiful snow job on America in '08, I'll agree with that. I didn't buy it at all because I caught him saying opposite things in different speeches but I have to admit that even I didn't see the depth of his treachery. The man is a narcissistic egomaniac and that is a dangerous combination. He came out of nowhere, basically, and charmed a populace that was looking for "change" and "transparency" in our government and so he promised that. I can see how one could say, Well, we got "change," all right, we just didn't ask what kind of change. Okay, that's explainable maybe, but the transparency part? Outright, downright, despicable lie, period. This is the least transparent president of all time, including Richard Nixon.

Speaking of Nixon, I will admit history has dug up some strange things about that man, as it has with most of our presidents, but there is one thing that stands out about him. When push came to shove, he stepped down and resigned. His detractors will say because he didn't want to go to prison. That's crap. He stepped down because it was better for the country to end the Watergate fiasco and get back into business, what with the Soviet Union still being such a huge problem and all the other thing...

He stepped down because it was better for the country to end the Watergate fiasco and get back into business, what with the Soviet Union still being such a huge problem and all the other things going on. Whatever Richard Nixon was, he still loved America and, in his own way, was a patriot. I wish I could say the same for BO. Unfortunately, however, BO is not a patriot, he doesn't even like America, he doesn't have pride in anything American. He wants to convert us to United States of Europe and he is slowly but surely breaking us down financially, militarily, politically -- you name it -- so that we will never again be able to stand up and fight for ourselves, let alone for anybody else in the world. Oh, he's a sly one

But even more sly are the ones who are backing him. He didn't rise up all by his little lonesome self. He's got big, big bucks pimping him. I still am having a very hard time getting used to the fact that he got elected without being vetted. How in heaven's name did that man ever manage to escape the scrutiny of intelligent, patriotic Americans? I am still wallowing in shock over Obamacare. Won't say anything more about it, you've heard it all, but I have to mention the manner in which our elected officials, people whom I am supposed to entrust with my future, my family's future, my country's future, stood up and actually said to the people of America, "Just pass it and then we'll see what's in it." Hello? Anybody there? I see humorous comments made about that, I occasionally hear a tiny mention about it. But never have I seen one of our elected officials even attempt to blow that witch out of the water for her attitude and comment. Not even once. Why? I still get flustered when I try to talk about it.

Oh, well, people like you and I need to keep writing, keep speaking, keep defending the proper principles of America and let's get these Nero wannabes the hell out of America. God, would that not be great! Enjoy the rest of our precious Memorial Day holiday and then get back to work, you darling American you. :)

Sending Obama to Europe sounds like a great idea until I realized it would mean that somewhere, down the road, we will have to go in and rescue the Europeans a 3rd time and it might just be messier than D-Day. I think we should send him to the moon, maybe space is big enough to handle the halo-d One.

And then Hitler came along with his big government groundwork and unemployment went to ZERO. Well, of course it would AT FIRST. You've got the deep pockets of big government to set up jobs and benefits and everything everybody needs for a wonderful life. Unfortunately, without allowing the private sector to engage in free enterprise, you know what happens eventually. The government money dries up, basically, and there just is no way that the current lifestyles can possibly be sustained any longer. Uh-oh. And we have, then -- ta-da -- Greece, et al.

These are precisely the deceptive results of the Obama mentality in action. (Of course the actual practices were begun before his time, but he has become the most radical employer of these tactics to date.) And God help the poor bastards who try to take away the handouts that have been so freely passed out for so long. (Evidence: the Occupy Wall Street crowd, for example.)

I still say there is a strong necessity to clean out our entire educational system and instill the simple things such as character, honesty, integrity, etc., into the lives of our children. Get people back to acceptance of responsibility for themselves and their families. Put charity back where it belongs, and that is out of government and into the churches and local communities and, of course, families and friends. (I speak from personal experience, believe me.)

Obama is, indeed, anti-American. Hard to imagine how that man became the president of a country he's got so many reservations about. But he has done a lot of damage to our public image, our ideals, our greatness. Time to get him out of office, right? Right!

Have a nice weekend. :) rah

Perceptive and brilliant-----again. Would be a much nicer world if people were as logical and observant as you are. Obama became President because he lied about hope and change and since he is so personable (sic) too many ate it up so they could have everything they want (without any work.) Those in government want both wealth and power---at the moment, they have it (just like the Germans did for a time.) No one bothers to read original historical sources and the 'revision' of history is criminal. Once again, absolute power corrupts. Ever read the history of the 17th century? That's just one----how about the original sources from our Civil War? On and on, it never seems to stop. I could go on but it's after 12:d0AM.

They just don't all want to look like they agree with the things he has done that have hurt so many people. Fair weather friends.
