Yes, I still generally believe that leaving Britain was a pretty good thing.
I've never encountered anyone who suggested we should become a colony of Britain's again.

Absolutely. The only thing greater than having independence from one's own government is having independence over one's own mind (thinking vs. following) - and that's a fundamental virtue for which the Founding Fathers applied when they decided it was time to stand up for such independence.

My friend I wish I was as optimistic..I am afraid this is going to be the only way to reclaim the Republic! OMG!! I hope I am wrong!! God I pray I am wrong..But the thing is that I have had a good track record on predictions in the last 6 years..My Congress women will tell you!

What? A bunch of rich white man gathered in the heat of summer to sign a document that declared them exempt from paying taxes to their "Mother country"?

I tend to put more weight behind the Constitution, even though it wasn't ratified for 13 years after the Declaration of Independence....
